Okay so I cut my hair which was collarbone length on Oct 5, which is in my Avatar. Then today I did the BC. It has to grow on me. It has only been 10 weeks since my last relaxer.

A few questions ???

1. Is it too soon to tell my hair type; since it has only been 10 weeks.

2. Does it look funny on me, please tell me what you ladies think.

3. Also my hair is really dry, and product recommendations.

Last but not least, thank you ladies for your support because I am going through one of the worst times of my life. The fact that I have this forum to look at daily has really helped me get through the storm. All you ladies inspire me and God bless you all.

Congratulation! Happy growing. Moisturising deep conditioning, Conditioner washes, less shampooing may help with the dryness. Your hair looks nice.

CONGRATS! It's still too soon to tell what hair type you are. It doesn't look funny on you, it's yo' hair guh! LOL! Seriously, it looks good. For moisture try spraying it with glycerin mixed with water. You can seal with coconut oil. Enjoy your natural journey!

I think it's pretty. Don't wait for your hair to grow longer to enjoy when it looks so nice today.

Congratulations, girl!!! :yay: Your hair looks great!!!

You need an inch or more to determine your hair type. Remember now that you're natural, you'll need lots more moisture than protein. So you might have to switch up your products and reggie now.

For a moisturizer I recommend Hawaiian Silky 14 in 1 Miracle Worker. It works beautifully for my dd's natural 4a hair. Her hair stays moist and soft all day, and her hair is usually dry as dirt.

Absolutely NOT! You look fabulous, girl! It'll take some getting used to but once you do, NO one is going to be able to tell you NUTINNNN!

I agree about co washes. Baggy. Also, I use a mixture of rosewater, shea butter and glycerin and it's done wonders for my hair.

Your hair looks beautiful, for real.

It's hard to tell your hair type right now and in that small pic. Do you have product on it?

If not you look like you have maybe a 3b/4a texture if that makes sense.

When my hair was shorter I used the Wave Nouveau moisturizer or The Care Free Curl moisturizer .

Have patience with your hair . It will thrive.

Yes, its a little soon, because once your hair grows out the texture will change, when my hair was really short, the curl texture was looser, when it was a small fro, the curls were tigher, and now, the back is looser, and the middle and the front is like 4a.

Nope, embrace your naturalness..

Hot Oil treatments, Givoani, aubrey organics

I know I just got a long way to go. I am kind of skinny with a long neck so I guess its not bad. I want it like yours very bushy. My hair grows really fast, so I will be there in no time.

Congrats! From what I can see, it looks like you have the perfect head for a short cut. I'm sure it looks cute on you!

Your hair cut is gorgeous. Congratulations!!! IMO Natural is the best way. Im relaxed and wished I had the nerve to do this. Happy Growing to you.

Wow, thank you very much. You guys are making me feel better. I was getting some weird looks from a lot of the guys. One guy broke it down for me and said that women with long hair are considered pretty; while women with short hair are considered sexy.:scratchch Yeah I know right

You just had to show me up and post a pic, huh, missy?:lachen: J/K! Your hair looks awesome! We can grow longer hair together.:yep:

Great, great thing to say and a motto that I am adopting for myself!:yep:

OP...your hair looks fabulous. Your only 10 weeks? Your giving me thoughts...

I keep putting my hand back there and saying to myself..:wallbash: But then at times I love it sooo much. Not that I am recommending it. I just told my SO, he had no idea.:ohwell:

Its cute, and it look so sleek. I like it. My hair buddy cut her hair off like yours and I love it. She also used Giovani Direct, and she like it alot.

Congrats!!

1. I think it's too soon to tell your hair type. Give it a couple more months and as you get more length it'll be easier to tell.
2. It looks great to me. I'm sure you just need time to get used to your new do.
3. I'd say keep it really simple at this point. Find a good deep conditioner and do that often. Aloe juice/rosewater is a good moisturizer. Coconut oil is great for moisture and sealing.

Ohhhhhh ... I think your hair looks pretty ... very chic. I agree with everyone else who said it's too soon to tell your hair type though.

As for the dry hair, I feel ya on that. I have recently discovered Trader Joe's Nourish Spa conditioner and it has done wonders for my dryness. You may want to give that a try.
