Usually, I just maintain the same twist/braid out by sleeping in a satin bonnet and sleeping "pretty" (resting my head on the side of my face). This lasts me about 3 days before I have to retwist (granted, the last day, it's a little big, but I like big hair so it it's all good

).

thank you sweetie...

i went to bed and just put it up in a scrunchie and im amazed , when i took it down this morning....its still kewl and lookin the same....*jumpin for joy* ...you just dont know how happy i am this actually worked and i can do something else with my hair for a change...and whew lawd this is perfect for a summer style
smile.gif
...im still wondering if you have to worry about reversion , since this is a natural style does it still revert? you know i dont know much about this stuff...im only the expert on the pony tail and press

I'm glad you had success with the twists (I KNEW you would!!
smile.gif
)... I can't figure out why more people don't do the twists instead of the braids... it's a much nicer look, IMO!!!

[/ QUOTE ]

Lindy your right girl, it worked better for me...forget the braid out now
laugh.gif
..thank you girl

Very pretty!! I'm going to have to try my hand at the twistout.

Did you flat twist close to your head (kind of like cornrows, but twists) or did you twist away from your head (if that makes sense)?

Okay, never mind. I read your instructions more closely.

Irresistible,

I've been wondering about this lately too. I guess I'll have to give it a try and note the results. Your twist out is inspiring and very pretty. How is braiding the twist at the root beneficial? I have yet to do a twist out so I'm curious and willing to take in any advice/suggestions.

Irresist: Girl these are fierce!!!! Braiding @ the root, then twisting...
smile.gif
what a great idea! I'll give it another go, b/c these are beautiful.

Thank you girl, I will report my results as well, im sure it would be less than if it were in a straight style though, i would think at least. the braiding the root helps to not have poofy roots

Iris! You know I'm a HUGE fan of yours! (LoverofLife71 from Nappturality.com). Girl, your hair is looking fabulous! So what do you like better: mango butter/coconut oil or the avocado butter? I think avocado helps maintain length.
