I did it....i got my hair cut in a short cut....!!!!

okay i got my hair relaxed(Affirm), cut, and a beautiful rinse put in it...im loving it...tell me whatcha yall think...sorry my ladies that i was on the Weave challenge with but it was time to get rid of the damage...and it seemed like i was causing more and more damage and breakage....i was searching all day to day looking for someone tht i could trust to allow to cut my hair...but ended up going to the lady that does my sewins and she did a wonderful job...I have pics in my February/March Fresh New cut album....tell me whatcha think....
 
Beautiful cut!! I'm loving all these short styles! :up: I personally love short hair and it looks GREAT on you.

thanks everyone for the compliments....yall make me really feel good..i knw the pics arent that good..i'll upgrade and get a digital camera one of these days....lol

not sure of wht the color that she used....cant really see it in the pics but up close it looks kind of like a mixture of black and a plum looking color...but not really too much plum...like that Kelly Rowland when she had her hair a plum color...but more black....

yes it feels really good....i didnt really want to go too short and for awhile i thought she was getting kind of scissor happy but i was like you know what its just hair..and this for the health of getting my hair back on track and growing then so be it....hopefully i will enjoy it better than i have from when i cut it off before...she actually didnt even want to do much curling to it because after she wraped it and it got finished drying it was actually falling into the cut...i loved tht...so if i can perfect that look in between salon visits it will be good....i have the sit under dryer and the wrap lotion....

My intentions i think im going to keep it short and just have it taped in the back like it is now and let it grow out i want a thick layerd bob....ive really gotten away from having the long hair i'll just be happy with a layerd thick looking bob for right now...and then if i get tired of that then a nice shoulder length layerd bob would be nice....i just want nice healthy strong hair...not really worried about the length of it...
 
That is a VERRRY cute cut! How will you maintain the style? Did she use marcels for the curl or did she wrap it? What's your new maintenance plan? Do tell! ;)

i havent really thought of a regimen yet...i think my curls will last up until sometime next week because my hair is so soft...i will be going to her every two weeks because still trying to cut cost but also trying to have a professionals hand on my road to healthy hair...she wrapped it and then used the marcels to give it some curl and show the layering....so far this is what im thinking for a regimen.....

week 1: i will cowash, wash with shampoo, deep condition, wrap it and sit under the dryer so it can have that same nice wraped look...
week 2: go to hair stylist allow her to treat, condition, wrap and curl...
week 3: i will cowash, wash with diltued shampoo, deep condition, wrap it and sit under the dryer....
week 4: go to hair stylist allow her to treat, condition, wrap and curl...

depending on the treatment that she uses which probably will just be somekind of conditioner...but i also have DRC and Aphogee at home so i think i will alternate and use one of those once a month....

i will allow her to relax my hair also....
i will sleep on a silk pillowcase and i have the special scarves i use to maintain my hairstyle at home...
 
I LOVE IT!!!! I was thinking of getting my hair the same way (frustration of transitioning:mad: ). It looks great on you.

My hats off to you girl, that cut is fierce! You need to give your stylist a hug:) What I love about this cut is that you can take ownership of healthy, strong hair now by doing your cowashes, deep conditioning and doing full baggies at night. Keep those ends strong girl. Try to minimize the heat, you should be able to wash and go!

thanks to everyone yall have been so sweet...my mom always told me i had the face for really any style... :)

actually all my co-workers have complimented me on my hairstyle white and black...she just walked in and said oh u cut it..not like i had so much anyway and she never really saw my real hair except for maybe a couple of times...and ive been working with her for about a 1 1/2....but watch shes going to take out her braids probably and do something to her hair by
Monday....lol....
