This is what i did, it's a little different than i know most people like to do but i figured out that my hair doesnt like to try new things much(conditioning washes, vitamins, etc

i hardly touch my hair, i just wear it in a bun with a snood over my head and wouldn't comb through my new growth. after i washed -with CON and deep condition --Queen Helene Cholesteral (with a plastic cap for like 45min-1 hour/ no heat( i wash like once every 8-10 days--my hair normally does very good with this amount of time and by 8 days i want that "new" feeling back) i would blowdry my hair with the comb attachment going through my new growth (this is the only time i would comb through this part of my hair or use any heat) and i would spray Sta Sof Fro on the new growth only. Next i would apply Smooth'NShine Hair Polisher down the length of my hair( i really like this stuff and it's cheap --like $6 for a 4 oz bottle and it lasts me a while), then put vaseline on my ends and into a bun it went. i would reapply vaseline on the ends like every 3 days or so(whenever i could tell they wanted more

) . i did this most every day except when i went back home to visit and i wore it down for like 3 days. I also didnt' use curling irons or flat iron(dont own a flat iron

) What i notice is that everyones hair is different and that i shouldnt feel pressure to do things that everyone else is trying just because most people are doing them or using them. i've tried some things i see posted on the board and they honestly just did not work for me. the key for me trying things and techniques out is that if i notice ANY damage even a few extra hairs coming out than usual--i stop immediately and go back to my regular routine.
