i use to switch back and forth all the time until i settled on no lye. new growth only. lye burns off my scalp and didn't get me bone straight..
what emergency home treatments did u do?

I bought an Avocado, gutted it out and squeezed juice out of an orange and grated some of the peel, mixed it all together and applied it to my hair and covered with plastic cap for about 30 minutes. Then I shampooed with Nexxus Botanoil shampoo then did an Emergencee treatment. I DC'd with IC Fantasia's Deep Moisturizing Conditioner under heat. It was a miracle combo for that damage.

I used to have the same problem with lye, but since I started using Alter Ego's Linange shea Butter Relaxer I have not had a problem. It really is the gentlest lye relaxer I have ever come across. Before this relaxer I was a ORS No-Lye person, then I tried silk elements and ORS Lye and they both burned so I kept ending up under processed. Now that I am using Alter Ego I never burn, never come out under processed, and my Lye hair looks so much better than my No-Lye hair. Plus its just as cheap as ORS and Silk Elements.

A couple of threads on this relaxer:

I buy it from BlueBeez:
