I think i've used almost every brand of relaxer on the market!

I've used:

Just for me
PCJ lye
Motions lye
Creme of nature lye
Bantu lye
Revlon lye
Mizani lye- burned me up sooo bad!
Design Essentials lye- hated this, too strong
Affirm lye - hated this too
Phyto
ORS lye- burned and underprocessed
ORS no lye- i constantly had to trim while using this!

and now im back w/ Phyto! Some time in the future i'd like to try silk elements regular lye. I'm so impressed with their megasilk conditioner, i'm tempted to try their entire line!

tcb
revlon
optimum anti breakage and mild relaxer
dr miracles (bad mistake! never again)
silk elements (only using it now because i'm trying to use up products but it's not a fave)

that's about it.

tcb and revlon use to be the only relaxers that I would ever use, I dont know why I started messing around with other stuff. and dr miracles was just horrid, I liked the "feel it" formula BUT....it messed my hair up and turned it ashy black lmao!

I've actually never checked. These are what I can remember:

Just for Me
Fabulaxer
Silk Elements (This was really good OP, my stylist started using this on everyone after I brought the box for her to use it on me)
Optimum Anti-Breakage
Mizani ButterBlends
Motions
Affirm (currently using)

And whatever my old stylists used in tubs that I never read.

Just for me

Phyto Index 2
Mizani Sensitive scalp
Mizani Butter Blends No-Lye
Hawaiian Silky No-Mix No-Lye(Thanks for the bald spot)
Silk Element Mild Lye (Still having burn flashbacks)

There is a another one a former stylist used that I don't know the name of. Right now I have settled on Mizani Butter Blends. That's what I will be using when I end my stretch in six months.

If I could get the entire Affirm system, I would use that instead of Mizani. Does anyone know where I can order the Affirm (lye) system on line without a license? The BSS here all require a license to buy Affirm.

Ummm...lemme see. I've used:

1.Dark and Lovely
2.African Pride
3.Dr. Miracle
4.Profectiv
5.Elasta QP
6.Silk Elements
7.ORS
8.Vitale
9.PCJ-throwback...lol
10.Pink Oil Relaxer...forgot the name
11.Optimum
12.Soft and Beautiful
12.Motions
13.Revlon Fabulaxer
14.Alter Ego-what i currently use

That's it....i think!:spinning:

I've found places where you can buy them w/o a license, but it's a HUGE tub which is too much for me to use. Also, I think it's alittle suspect and I'm scared that it's not the good stuff.

Soft and Beautiful
Creme of Nature
Affirm
Phyto
Mizani Butter Blend
Organic Root Stimulator
Sheenique
Gentle Treatment
Motions

I think that's it.

OK. First relaxer was Ultra Sheen. It turned my hair red/orange and took out probably half of my hair. Obviously, my mother never read a hair care book.

2. Revlon Realistic -- Left me underprocessed.
3. Revlon Fabulaxer -- Burnt the crap out of me.
4. Optimum -- Burnt my scalp.
5. TC Bone Strait -- caused severe breakage.
6. Soft and Beautiful -- not too bad.
7. Creme of Nature Original --- BINGO (Mom finally found a winner).
8. Phytospecific -- I used this last year when I couldn't get an appointment. Nice relaxer but the neutralizing shampoo sucks.

Salon:

1. Dudley's (too drying)
2. Kemet (so so)
3. CB Smoothe (okay)
4. Silk 2 (not bad)
5. Affirm (Dry and Sensitive Scalp) -- ok
6. Affirm (Dry and Itchy Scalp) -- ok
7. Affirm Fiberguard (pretty good)
8. Vitale High Comfort (pretty good)
9. Design Essentials Sensitive Scalp -- ok
10. Design Essentials Lye -- ok
11. Phytospecific (pretty good but pricey at the salon)
12. Mizani Butter Blend -- (awesome; can't live without it!!!!)

Interesting that I have never tried the regular Mizani relaxer.
