Today, I washed and deep conditioned my hair, and I got really curious to see how my natural hair looked without the relaxed ends. I cut the nape of my hair, and WOW, I loved it. ETA: Well, everyone, as of April 1st, 2007 8:00pm, I did the BC. Man, I gotta get used to this new look.

Hey, Soror! When I saw the title, I was ready to drive down I-57 and confiscate your scissors, but after seeing your pic, I've changed my mind. I love the curls! It will grow out so fast this summer...you'll be fine.
 
Aww, Shucky Ducky Quack Quack. Welcome to the world of BC shock. :eek: :lol: I actually got over mines pretty quickly. And you probably will to. Ooh, I can't wait to get home and look at your pictures. (That website is blocked from work). I wanna see this pretty hair that everyone is talking about. And I can't wait for our Nashville Bowling Party now too. Yay!! I'm happy for you. Congrats!!!

i have to say, your natural texture is GORGEOUS! You picked the perfect time to bc, spring/summer, with the warmer weather, your natural hair will blossom! Have fun experimenting with your new do:)

Hi, and thanks again to everyone. This morning, I wasn't so sure about my new cut even though I was starting to like it. I didn't know what other people were going to say. I thought people were gonna say my head looked like a little boy or something ::shrugs::. Well today, my classes were cancelled, so no one really got a chance to see my new do'. I ended up going to the grocery store, and these 2 older guys told me how pretty I was, and a 3rd guy tried to talk to me. I can't help but to say that somewhat boosted up my confidence about my hair. I know that no one needs "approval" from the opposite sex, but that made me realize that my cut wasn't as bad as I thought.

For the ladies who had trouble with the fotki, are you doing the copy & paste? I'm not sure if that's an issue or not, because I just tried visiting my fotki as a guest, and when I typed in the password, it worked. Please don't give up, and try again. I'm sure it works.
 
You are such a cutie! Just keep that hair moist and conditioned girl and it will grow grow! By fall you are gonna be surprised at how much hair you have. Congrats, your hair is very pretty.

I . . . LOVE . . . IT!!! I have been natural three times and each time I B/C'd shoulder-lengthed hair . . . it's very freeing, isn't it? I know it's new to you, but don't be afraid . . . it looks great! Just do the extra things to continue to feel good and comfortable about yourself (not that you have this problem, but just in case the short hair is too drastic). Get some hoop or long earings and do the dern thang!!!

I am 14 weeks post relaxer and miss my natural curls . . . but I don't want to Big Chop!!! I've worked hard to get this length and don't want to start over. *what to do, what to do*

Anywho, Congrats!!!
 
I LOVE it!!! I'd BC if I thought my hair would look like that! Congrats lady! Lookin good!
