now that was straight up ignorant had to stop watching after she said african men in africa dont groom their beards or cut their hair erm ...yeah :rolleyes:
 
She ummed alot, ran her hands thru her greasy broke off hair ummed and you know'd some more. Talked about how natural hair is too hard to maintiain, what man wants to run his hands thru nappy hair...ummed some more and I had to stop watching she is an idiot!!!!

To claim that she has two years of cosmetology school under her belt should be an insult to everyone that has a license.
 
She's inarticulate but I don't think she meant to be offensive.

Her overall point is that nappy hair is hard to maintain. For some people that is going to be true. We're on a board that's 50% permed, so it's not like she's alone in the view.

Ok, she took way too long to get to the point. I lost interest and the super close video got on my nerves.

I would have loved to hear/see the video she was responding to.

Youtube has given the world a voice and it's a mixed blessing! :ohwell:

Huh? I couldn't even understand what she was talking about. And why? She doesn't even know what she's talking about herself!! :lachen:

I think though that she was just upset that the guy's website she went on was downing black women for relaxing their hair. I know many afro-centric websites that do so. However, she does have some self-hate issues for saying the things that she said :rolleyes: It's so sad to see how many black women in general are ignorant about how to maintain their hair and believe they have a "need" to relax their hair in order to be beautiful.
 
I'm not going to be mad at her because looking at that jacked up hair of hers, who would be in their right mind to run their fingers through that, it's greasy and chopped up. Now, I've seen people w/natural hair that looks better than hers so she better get on LHCF before she can say anything. I bet she's under the misconception that her hair is fly.:grin:.
 
I know what she means even tho she didn't say it very well. Having had natural hair most of my adult life I must admit I find telax hair easier.

I also didn't think her hair looked that bad. It's thin, but that might be because she has naturally thin hair. :rolleyes:

She sounds more like she was defending her choice to relax than trying to down natural hair.

I completely agree. I was quickly bored by her lil' inarticulate diatribe.

i made a comment listing a link to our site, but youtube will not let you post links. so i dropped the ".com" lol. hopefully she will understand it or at least look it up and come visit. wisdom is the best weapon against ignorance

I would agree. And it was in response to somebody else's video it's not like she just posted it out of nowhere. She wasn't nasty about it. I've seen/heard worse comments from naturals talking about relaxed heads. People always gotta find something to get their panties up in a bunch about. This is her opinion just like we all have ours. And I'm sure there are plenty of people on this board who think the same way. I think she was just defending her decision to relax her hair. I don't think she meant to put down natural hair.

And her hair doesn't look that bad. It might not be real long but it looks decent and somewhat healthy to me. Her ends are clean. It doesn't move but that's about it. But at least it's done. It looks better than some of these homemade hair dos. I've seen a lot worse.

I am about to sound real cliche, but attacking ignorance with ignorance does not make you look smart. I don't know about this dude she's responding to, sounds like he has his own issues. Apparently he makes a lot of these videos, from what I could tell by the YouTube links. I'm sure what he said was offensive. But that doesn't excuse her "what man want to run his hands through that nappy ish?" video. If you talking about my nappy ish, then that would be your man.

Y'all right, I bet she isn't the only one who thinks like that. But what does that mean? Because we can find others who think like that means it's okay? Every screwed up way of thinking has its supporters.
