I can't do anything with my hair (vent)

*sigh* I really hate this hair cut I got back in May. The only protective style I can do is to put it in a claw clip. My length is gone so that leaves me really limited. The top seems to be longer than the back. I am so upset.

Braids aren't an option and I really don't want a weave. What do I do? I think I'm going to wear a phony pony for awhile.

I'm so mad that I lost sight of my goals. *sniff, sniff*

Last December I tried out a different stylist. It was one of the worst touch-up experiences in my life if not the worst. My scalp was burning soooo bad I think my eyes were watering. I did speak up but, nonetheless it was a very uncomfortable ordeal.

After that experience combined with all the info on this board about natural hair I decided I would transition. By May I was frustrated with my hair and decided to go back to a relaxer and get my hair cut into an easy style (so I thought). After my stylist had finished the touch-up, conditioning etc. I said never mind about the cut, but she talked me into it saying "Its summertime and long hair is played out anyway."

She should have listened to me because she has been doing my hair for years and last time I did a major cut I nearly freaked out and she said way back then that next time I ask for a short cut she wasn't going to do it, yeah right. I know its still my fault though. I am just so mad.

I understand. Stylists are always messing things up. That's why I want to be able to my own hair (relax, dominican blowout, everything). I was mad last year around this time when I got my hair dyed. The stylist didnt do a good job and my hair wasnt as healthy anymore.
I think in about a year after the mishap u will be alright. Just keep taking care of your hair. How long is your hair now? Do you do curly styles?
