I Can Do Without The Aveda DR Conditioner

I may give it one more try after clarifying, but on a preliminary basis the treatment runs circles around the conditioner as far as performance and results.

I used the DR shampoo and followed it with the DR conditioner today. It detangled well, but my hair did not feel very moisturized when dry. The conditioner is definitely "lighter" than the treatment.

I'm not disappointed though. I'm more than happy to be in like with 2 of the 3 products--that's better for my checkbook anyway. :yep: And with this being the case, I don't think I'd mind spending the mulah to get liter sizes of the shampoo and treatment.

ETA: I see the DR Treatment does not come in a liter, but rather a 16 oz. (for $68).
::: passing out::: That is $4.25 an ounce. (Well, the small one is $6 something an ounce, so I'll stop complaining now :) )

I agree Supergirl. I have been using it a few weeks now, and the last time I just used the shampoo and the intensive treatment without heat, and my hair was soft, but strong and detangled really easy. :) I was impressed, because I'm 8 weeks post and my new growth can make detangling kind of hard.

For the member that sent me a pm about this, it's on the front of each container (and from personal experience too). HTH.

ITA Supergirl. I use the DR shampoo and follow with the DR Intensive Treatment. And my hair does just fine. I don't need the DR conditioner. But I keep it on hand, just because I'm addicted to Aveda products.

AAH! How can you speak against Aveda DR!!! This is weird cause I like the conditioner better than the treatment, but different strokes ...

I have both and I feel the same way. This has happened to me before......When I first started using the products, I bought both and took the conditioner back. When I went to restock on the larger sizes, I decided to get it again and give it another chance. It's not really doing much for me and I think I'm going to take it back again and get my $84 back, instead of trying to keep hope alive.

I agree. Don't get me wrong the conditioner is great but the shampoo leaves my hair soft already and the treatment gives a more noticeable boost - I think when I run out I'll get the Sap Moss Concentrate for pre-treating instead :scratchch: or maybe I should go swap it now...
