My Dr said that its most likey pp shedding coming on real late, my hair shed since I had my son, but nothing like this, it is so sad..

All this time I thought I had it when he ws 3 months old, was prob just cuz I needed a relaxer cuz it was NOTHING like this..

Sorry for the rant,

I justed PM'd you.... I've never experienced pp shedding, but just wanted to share my problem and solution....

It will get better....:)

Hi Khandi

I recommend garlic treatments to help with the shedding. Alter Ego Garlic Treatment is one of the best out there and you can get this at www.sickbay.biz

Also when was your last protein treatment and with do you use for protein?

I used it for the first time yesterday on my hair as well as my daughter the lost of hair was not alot like before. I did what joyous suggested on one of these threads. Nutrine garlic shampoo and then alter-ego garlic hot oil conditioner. its a keeper for me.

Exactly what I was gonna suggest, also it may just be your time to shed most of us, probably of all of go through a shedding cycle, mine is in the winter, so I just keep up w/my normal routine but I do more protective styles to limit the shedding. It'll get better..

:) Awww, cheer up sunshine, It is only temporary and there aint no way in heck all that pretty hair is going anywhere. I know how you feel though because I have a child too. I promise it will be ok :)

 Awww Puddin It'll Be Alright.Your Hair Will Be Back To Normal Soon.Maybe You Should Try That Garlic Treatment That The Ladies Were Recommending.I Hear Garlic Is Great For Shedding.

Hey Khandi,

I totally agree with Bree. The post par-tum shedding is only temporary and it will get better. I remember when I first had my son, my hair shedded so badly that I said I would never have another baby and take my hair through this traumatic experience again :). Yet, at the end of the day I realized that my hair was just returning to the state it was in before pregnancy because the whole time I was pregnant I really didn't shed much hair at all. I would comb my hair after a wash or what ever and not see one strand any where.

Your hair loss won't even be noticeable to anyone else and after sometime it will stop and be a thing of the past.

Keep your head up girlie. There are so many mothers who have gone through this and we all come out of it better than we came in!

Hey KB,

I know I'm a little late but I just wanted to come in and offer some support. It will be okay. My sis with through PP shedding but I don't remember it lasting that long. But we all know evryone is different **Hugs** Your hair will get it together.

PS: I heard of a lot of people taking garlic supplements for this. Talk to your doc about that.

I just started using this last week for a first wash and let it sit for 5 min, I couldnt' find the Nutrine' one so I bought the Queene Helene brand and I love the tingles I get from it. I forgot all about the poo, also they have garlic supplements, which I take one a day and I think that has helped because I started have only about 10-20 strands that shedd a day (if I finger comb) I'm hoping for almost none w/this garlic poo, let us know it works for ya...

Thanks MM, I hope it doesnt last long.. Im kinda sorta a Hypochondriac
BWE - The Garlic Supplements dont seep out of your skin do they, I love garlic, but I surely dont want to be smellin like it  so Nutrine has a poo and so does queen helene?

As I recently suggested on another thread, please get your iron levels checked by your doctor. If your red blood cell count is low, you will have much shedding of hair. It means nutrients and oxygen can't get to your follicles.

I cried too several years ago when this happened to me. I couldn't figure it out so I went to my doctor who tested my blood. Sure enough, I was anemic and he had me take good iron supplements, which I still take. The shedding stopped almost right away.

You may not be anemic (which can happen at any stage of life) but it can be worth taking a blood test to make sure, if the shedding continues.:)
I bumped a couple of threads on this.

KB sorry you are dealing with this. I know you dont want product overload but I had this problem before. My beautican at the time suggest I use Dudley Hair Mask. It worked wonders on my hair. I was so nervous about loosing so much hair.

Let me know what works for you. Huggles.
