I bought Natures Therapy mega Moisture only to find...

I bought Natures Therapy Mega Moisture Treatment in a pretty big tub and i look at the ingreds and it contains isopropyl alchohol!:eek:, does anyone use this stuff?. damnit I dont trust L''oreal anymore, why would they need to use that ingred in a deep conditioner???

Good Question......I just ran to check mine, I bought this and used it for the first time this weekend & loved it. I was thinking of making this my new staple line, my hair was so moisturized & tangle free afterwards. Now, I'm wondering if it's "bad news"?

Hopefully someone else who's used it consistently for a while will shed some light.

ETA: Can someone post the ingredients to the Silk Elements version of this conditioner (they're supposed to be very similar) TIA

I've used it three times and I like it because it makes my hair so soft and tangle free. I don't think I want to give it up!!!:(

Now i dont know whetther to use this stuff or take it back!! i think im gonna be a wuss and return it, rubbing alcohol scares me too much and its fairly high in the ingred list i think

YIKES!

I understand your leeriness, but if it doesn't dry your hair out then....However, I'd stay away from bad ingredients because it may feel fine in the short run, and then in the long run it may not be good....

Its a personal choice....

I almost purchased this a Sallys today because its on sale, but I didnt because I'm a recovering pj holic. I'm glad that you discoved this. My hair hates to much alcohol.

Did they change the formula? I used to use this two years ago and I don't remember alcohol being on the ingredients' list.

I used a deep conditioner that contained rubbing alcohol in it. They said it was an "emulsifier." It worked great until time number 4.

If your hair likes it, try not to use it so much. Switch it up.

Yeah it does have the alcohol in it, but my hair feels great after week 6 of using it off and on so whatever. most likely its an emulsifer and the amount they put in it should have no dramatic effects on the hair, it hasn't on mines at least. I guess my Chemistry minor can be used somewhat in the real world after all:lol:

I love this stuff. I use it a few times a month and it will continue to play an active part in my conditioner rotation.

I love the shampoo, as well.

Anyway, I have seen many conditioners that contain isopropyl alchohol. I just avoid products that have the isopropyl alchohol base, like hardening hair sprays and tonics.
