I thought that I would start by just taking 600 mcg a day... is that too much or too little?

Also, I'll just take it for 2 months straight and then take a month long break before I start again. Do you think that's a good idea?

I've taken biotin since August. I take 5000 mcg a day. I have noticed significant new growth but I'm not sure if its the biotin or a combination of all the other supplements I'm taking. My nails have started to grow also, but I keep messing with them so they are still kinda short.

Are you ladies taking about 5mgs. I take up to 12.5 mgs a day.

This is my reg.
week 1 - 12.5 mgs
week 2 -10 mgs
week 3 - 7.5 mgs
week 4- none

I don't think that is too much. I would say start off with at least 2.5mgs.

DSD,
Please explain why you increase your biotin in weekly increments. What benefits have you noticed?TIA

I do this so my body won't get used to the same dosage. I believe that taking the same does of the biotin day in and day out makes the biotin less efffective or not effective at all.

I never thought of thaat and I've been taking the same amount since August. Should I increase or just taper off for a while then start back up with a lesser dose?

I would say increase the dose LadyDee. Take the increased dose for a while and then take a break. You want to see if you get even better results with the higher dosage.
