My hair is lightly relaxed, 3c/4a.... I'm wondering what temperature to curl it? I don't want to burn my hair... that's what I'm scared of since reading the comments about the ceramic iron on my last post. The box says:
1-5->fragile (very thin hair)
5-10-> thin (easy to curl hair)
10-15-> normal textured hair
15-20->wavy (curly hair)
20-25-> Coarse (very thick hair)

Where should I start?

I use setting 16 because my hair is texturized and the curls are prone to just get wavy instead of straightened if I go under 16.

I'm natural with about 1" of relaxed ends. I can straighten my hair on the 10 setting. It only lasts about 1 day, though... I'm afraid to go any higher!

Start at 5 and see what happens.

I have 4b hair and live in San Antonio,Tx and we have the worst humidity imagineable. However, I am able to flat iron my hair with the Jilbere ceramic flat iron at level 10 and I use the L'oreal serum and get the most silky hair imagineable.

I was never able to get my hair to this texture before. I might add that I have pretty thick hair as well. This has been my best purchase since I have been using the message board. My hair lasts for a week

At night I just moisturize my ends and wrap it!
