it works!

You have a nice head of hair! I love your weave pic too, it looks very natural! Beautiful!

Thank you Pink Flower!!!
I've seen your album also and take that as a great compliment. The sewin weave pic is my ultimate goal. I'm not too concerned on how long it takes or even if it happens! I just want healthy, shiny hair. Its been doing much better since I found this site.

I liked the way the sewn in weave looks on you! September of last year, I had 5 sewn in tracks in my hair and my head felt HEAVY!!!! My own hair was shoulder length, and the lady who put the weave in was asking me was I sure I wanted to go through with a weave! That was my first AND last weave!!! I couldn't take it-it looked like my own hair, but it was too much!

I say all that just to say yours looks real good!!

Thanks nfynit!!
I paid $120 here in Texas for it and it was supposed to last 6-8 weeks. I lasted 2.5weeks because I have a scalp condition (seborrhic dermatitis) that does NOT like weave!!

you have very pretty hair and its nice and thick. It will be the length of the weave in no time bc it looks like its in good condition already.

Thanks Leslie!!
I've been following your posts on the WW thread. I've seen your album and its very inspiring. I have at least 15 lbs to lose, but if I lose enough inches I could care less what the scale says!!

I love the thickness, and the sew-in looked really good on you.

I've had braids again since then, but keep it very simple. Plain cornrows so that I can treat my scalp with steroids (Luxiq) if my condition flares up. I love flat twists and want them again. They are much less hard on the hair and scalp than braids. I 'll post a pic of those at a later date

Thanks honey jammz82,
I only want my hair to be collarbone in front and maybe a few inches past shoulder in back. I am lazy and if I had as much hair as you, I'd look like a Chia pet from lack of maintenance.

your hair looks great. the back of my hair is short in the middle too. is you hairline wierd back there because min goes up in the middle and the sides are lower. That weave was amazing it looked so natural. keep up the good work

Hi Msportugal,
Thanks for the good words. My hairline in back is pretty even. I dont know what the deal is. Hopefully as it grows it will all even out. My left side grows faster than my right also, but I wont cut it to even out as lon as my ends are fine

Wow!! Your hair is so full and healthy-looking. I thought that weave was real!!! Really nice pictures! You'll reach your goals in no time--looks like your hair grows fast (I am judging by the 3 week braid photo)!

Ladies,
THanks for the compliments!! I was shedding horribly until I started reading on this site and realized that my hair needed moisturize. My only concern now is that I maintain healthy hair. I know that I grows so I just need to retain it.

I am also adjusting to no lye (Affirm normal strength). I am accustomed to relaxing to bone straight status and my hair seems to be reverting within 3 weeks. This is NOT new growth. I would do a braid challenge, but my scalp just can't take it and I shed too many hairs. Any and all suggestions are appreciated!
