This morning, I got so gloomy about my boring uneven straight below SL hair. I felt like I just cant have my hair out like that, it made me so plain. I was frustrating about how hard to get to APL and how I HATED the relaxer made my hair looks so thin when it straight.I felt like I wanted to shave them all off and back to natural but So I decided to look for a new hairdresser and I've found one. I came in, I was SO nervous to meet a new stylist. I met her and her name is Angela she was so nice lady :yep: I expressed to her how I felt about my hair and how it was SO hard to grow my hair to APL. She tld me that the best thing to grow your hair is get spiral curls every 2 weeks to make it grows faster. I was like okay i gave it a try.
She washed my hair with three different nice shampoos and conditioned my hair. then she deep conditioned my hair and put me under the dryer for 20 mins then she put me into the chair and rolled my wet hair into spirals, put me under the dryer for about 50 mins. so when it was done she put me back to the chair and took all spirals out of my hair she rubbed shea butter from the jar in her hands together then spread it all over my spirals, separated them. Then she sprayed Cantu sheen but I was SUPRISED she didnt grease my scalp  like most hairstylists always do. i asked her to make sure she didnt forget but she didnt she said I should let my scalp to breath and let it grow. She suggested me to get tea tree oil to my scalp to keep it fungus free. :yep: I looked at my hair I LOVE IT! It looked natural and best way to hide my ends. And she didnt trim my hair either! But sprial curls cost $40

Maryland : Here her address Girlfrienz Hair 4434295473 if u would like to try her :yep:

Here the pics finally!!

Sound good, just out of curosity: "She washed my hair with three different nice shampoos"- What kind of shampoo was it, since she used 3 different one?

no pics? you think you could learn to do this on your own at home to save $$? also you could use many natural oils on your scalp, tea tree oil is anti fungal like she said, but phew, it smells strong!

Wow do hairstylists still grease their client's scalps?

It's always nice to find a stylist that you like. I almost cried when I lost track of my stylist after getting braids for three months. Luckily we got back in touch.

I'm surprised to hear any of them do anymore, all the way back in the day a long time ago they all became anti grease it seemed

if they wanted their finished product to have some swang that is

Since there aren't any pics, I'm asking: are spiral curls going to be the same as if she used flexirods?

Oh OK, Paul Mitchell, is really good. Im glad you found a good hairstylist, your hair is really cute.

Why did your stylist used three different shampoo on your hair? Like did she explain why or something?....I never heard of anyone going to a salon and having their stylist use three different shampoos.

^^^I have; my hairstylist he's used about 2 shampoos on me at once. I just know one of them were KeraCare. BTW, OT your hair came out very cute.

DP your hair looks great and it sounds like you found a great stylist. I personally don't think that $40 is that much especially if you can't do it yourself and can make those bad boys last for two weeks. She is right about the grease, I think it is better to let your scalp breath.

If you really want to try tea tree oil than look for the one in a green and clear tube at the BSS. It is about $1, the container makes it easy to use it on your scalp, and has great oils in it -- and tea tree oil is the first listed!

looks really good..i plan on rolling my hair into spiral curls every week too..it's easy and i love way it looks.
