at this rate. I just got finished cutting my damn hair again. It got to a nice length and I said I would not even trim because i really did not need a damn trim however, I did trim...trimed again...and just literally cut my hair.

If my hair looks slightly uneven I have to cut!:( right now I feel so damn sick I can't believe I did that ish!!!!!!

I'm scissor happy too. I installed braids to control myself. I cut over half of my length off and randomly at that. I was snipping while I was braiding. I don't know what the heck my problem was.

Back when I kept my hair low, the clippers would be out in of the closet and in my hair on a whim. Next thing you know I'd have a kojak again. The teachers and my students always just shook their head. Chickens...next day feathers. Whatever!

Hope you get a hold of yourself. :)

I am just like you Bmack. What helped was, I joined a no trim challenge and that has been very helpful. Whenever I am tempted to trim, I remember my commitment to the challenge (solemn vow not to trim) and it has helped to stop my trim crave right in it's tracks.

Trimaholic here . I know exactly how you feel Bmack. I baaarely made it to shoulder length last year due to excessive trimming. I would mini-trim about two, sometimes even three times a month cause I was trying to get rid of my hideous layers and thin ends. But I am definitely cutting back the trims to achieve maximum growth this year.

I fgeel your pain I bc'd in Nov 03 and my hair still isnt fully shoulder length  Had I been avoding the scissors I could have been well past BSL. Things are geeting better though.

I feel you, I went to a hair dresser when I was 13 and she cut about 6inches off of my hair. 8 years later, my hair is still the same length... Every time I go to the hair dresser, I cut two inches off, for no reason. I attempted to transition last year and had about 6 inches of new growth then decided to relax again in february of last year and cut it off back to bra-strap. I had to hide my scissors so I'd stop cutting my hair myself, but I saw a pair of japanese scissors and the handles are pink so now I want it.

I'm a scissor addict too. :( I usually trim every time I take out my braids which is about every 6 weeks. This time, I'm determined not to cut 'til at least April 1st.

ME TOO! I'm addicted to the look of a blunt cut and certain parts of my hair grows quicker than others so I'm always chopping. I think I need to get braids or a weave to keep from doing this. This is my only logical solution to stop me from doing this. I have a problem ...

I run everytime I even see a pair of scissors... Protective styles are perhaps the best antidote to being scissor happy or try one of the hide your hair challenges or the baggy method to keep your ends looking nice. Good luck kicking the addiction, ladies.

I am also scissor happy....I have cut my hair often. I don't just trim...I take a good chunk of my hair off there is no reason to my insanity. One day when I'm bored Ill just get the scissors and cut and thats that. My hair grows back pretty fast, so I know one day it will come back. But, you aren't alone!

Thanks for the advice ladies, the thing is my hair has always been healthy...I don't give it a chance to get unhealthy...I am always cutting I can't even say anything now. I cant believe I cut my damn hair again I am so pissed with myself. I said that I was not going to cut my hair again until may. I had also planned to switch to phyto relaxer/or the new optimum care line that leaves your hair fuller after a relaxer blah, blah, blah.

I just joined a new challenge so I will keep it hidden and not even look @ it except to wash and rebun....pray for me lol
