Hey all you hydrated gals

Today begins week two of the November Hydrochallenge! Are you moving on to a bigger goal? Sticking with the same one? Backing off? Put it all here!

Oh, and yesterday (the 7th) I drank my 1000mL.

My goal for this week is 1500mL. It's gonna be tough cuz some days I'm just barely making 1000, but I can do it!

Lately I've been finding that I actually like the taste of the water. Amazing! I want to get up to 2000mL for the last week

Of course you can join!!! I am sure everyone would love to have you join the challenge. Just state what your goal is for Week 2 and keep us posted.

Ok I have been able to meet my 64oz each day but sometimes I just don't feel thirsty, so I am going to stick with that for week 2.

Hello, I'm joining! I want to get to 2 water botttles full. Right now I'm at one. I don't know how many ounces that is, but its pretty big. Eventually I would like to get to 4, though.

please dont drink too much water. it can cause the brain to swell. i dont know what the rule is for water per pound but there is one.
other than that, bottoms up!

I've heard this as well. I first heard of it on the news when a couple made their adopted daughter drink a huge amount of water (which was fatal in her case).

I am sticking to my 80 ounces. I too like the taste of water. I like how I can "feel" it running down my throat and esopagus(sp?).

According to Dr. Batmanghelidj, author of Your Body's Many Cries for Water, the rule is 1/2 your body weight.

You can probably do a search on google for water intoxication. I never heard the term until recently. I've read that you should only drink to your level of thirst. Or a bit more if you workout, or do hard physical labour.

Well, I guess my face is red

I've been putting my posts on the last thread. But anyway, for 11/8, I drank my 64 oz, but, for 11/9, I'm proud to report I drank 90 oz. I wrote a book on why it was possible, but, BC, I guess you'll have to go there to read why. But, I'm pretty proud of myself.

I hope I can continue to do it during the cold, dry months.

BTW, I guess you'll start threads each week, but BC, if you don't see my post, can you remind me? Thanks babe.

11/10 I drank my 64 oz...but it was harder to do today because I drank the carbonated waters too. Been running to the potty a lot today.

I drink a gallon of water a day. I wonder how much water is too much. So far, I've been feeling okay, I'm gonna have to research to see if this is too much water. I drink 130 oz of water everyday.

Hello,

I too posted on the first thread. I want to join also. Starting today I am going to start with 32oz but see how much more I can drink. I heard that half your body weight is the norm for deciding how much water is good for you. For me that would be about 80oz a day. It wil take me a minute to get to that but this is a start.

Haven't been posting, but I have been keeping up on my water! I went from 32oz last week to 40-48oz this week.

We have set weekly water drinking goals. You can start anywhere you want. My goal for this week is 64 oz a day. We are supposed to report back daily to say whether or not or goal has been met for the day.

I realized today that I have been drinking waaayyy more than my goal of 80 ounces. I went online to try and find out if the volume capacity of the brita filters was listed. Low and behold when I went to my fridge to check out the shape of mine to compare with what I found on the net I saw the volume measurements on the side of the container. So anyway I figured out that I was drinking 132 ounces of water daily. No wonder I've been going to the bathroom so much. I've been doing this for 2 years now and I honestly thought at times that my kidneys weren't concentrating enough. No wonder my doctor used to roll his eyes at me.
