Ok, I am an unofficial member of the HYH challenge, just b/c my hair doesn't like heat past 275 degrees. So I have lotsa wigs and some of my faves were getting tattered. Well I was sitting under my hood dryer and noticed that there was a wig setting and i am like WTH?? 1.So I washed one that i was gonna toss. 2.well I then sprayed it with gloss spray and 3.set it on large flexi rods, 4.put it on my head (yeah I know)but it dried to this bouncy shiny very new looking thing!

Intrigued, I washed and sprayed a straight half wig but this time I used the brush on my handheld on low (which IMO is still hot) same result! sleek shiny and almost new! I love this and hope it helps you ladies save some green!

Yeah well, sorta. I had a baggie on my head since I was DCing so I just plopped the wig on top of that since I didn't have enough phone books (who still uses those?) to make my mannequin high enough to fit under the dryer. Didn't take long, I will post a pic tonight.

Hey, thanks for the tip! I also have a hooded dryer (old school Lady Dazey brand), which has a wig setting. I never thought of putting a wig underneath to revive it! Mine seemed to spring back to life after a good cool wash and light condition with something like VO5 Moisture Milks. I do the same with my drawstring ponytails.

Many of the synthetic wigs and weaves of better quality are made to sustain light heat, and you can actually create a whole new style on many of them! You're right, it is a way to save some green, cuz my wigs and weaves are like shoes...I hate to part with any one of them! Also, I never know when I might favor that wig or weave that has later been found to be discontinued!
