Basically i wanna stretch my curls but not loose ALL my definition! Any ideas? suggestions?

I don't know how you would get your hair to look like the picture. In my opinion, your hair in your signature looks much better than the pic you posted anyway.

Ummm, maybe you could try air drying in two strand twists. That always just stretches my hair out a little bit.

Couple thoughts...

You could:
  1. Add whatever products curl your hair, and then diffuse your hair while stretching the curls out (using a heavy cream, like curly pudding would help hold the style)....
  2. Brush your curls out - Be careful with this one, but it might give you the fullness you are looking for...
  3. Add products for curl definition, and then braid your hair in medium size braids overnight to get your hair to stretch out
Hope at least one of these suggestions will help!

Enjoy the toga party! Make sure to let us know when the pics are up!

if that is your hair in your siggy, i would just make about 6-8 big plaits on a day-old washngo to stretch it a bit, sleep on it, and then undo the plaits and shake b4 going to your party.

malachi i'm gonna give ur suggestion a try tonite and see how it works and if it holds i'ma try it again for the party... thanks for the suggestions ladies!

i can't wait to see if you can achieve it so i can copy your results. :ninja:

have you made a thread or something on your hair color? love it...want it...need it. lol

I think I've seen a method sort of like this done by PinkSkates. What she'll do is take her hair section by section and stretch it down with her hands and zap it for a little with the blow dryer. The heat stretches out her curls without straightening it. I saw the method when I was checking out her fotki one day.

I think you could either braid or twist your hair halfway down let it dry and unravel it. From there you should have your curls at the bottom but still have the stretched out look.
