Hey yall! I just bought my first synthetic lace front and im working on tweezing the front and faux bleaching the knot with makeup. But im having a hard time keeping the front hairline down. I dont want to use tape or glue. I see so many applications were the person says they dont use tape or glue and they're able to pull on the front hair and the lace is stuck to theyre head. I tried bobby pinning but im not a bobby pin expert so it hurts, it feels like too much tension and the front still doesnt lay flat.
can you ladies help me out?

You can sew a piece of elastic on the inside where the ear tabs are and place it around your head on your nape area. Supposdedly that lays the wig down and it doesn't move at all.

I use spritz on my lace. When I'm ready to take it off i just blot the lace with a wet towel to i don't tear my edges. HTH :)

Gurl, the ladies of LHCF are too UE to wear lace fronts. I would check out BHM they have good info on applying and dealing with LFs they keeps it real:look:

There are plenty of lf threads on here with tons of advice, from the lace front era. That search function is the business!

BHM has more info about all things weave and wig in general though.

it a bss lace front. The lace is sorta thick. It looks good from afar but a little closer its visible.

black hair gel...........glues it down, blends the lace, pull it back so just your bare baby edges show.......easily dislodges when time to remove, doesnt pull ur hair out

I also use the got 2b glued freezing spray along the spilking gel and that sucka ain't coming off. You could use lace front tape and apply only on your wig cap (to get rid of shine apply powder makeup) and that should keep the lace flat w/o touching your skin.

@Moschino great idea, would black gel make the lace darker? Can I use clear gel like ecostyler?

I havent used the clear gel. It seems the lace is always too light, esp at the temple and sides. I glob the gel on, then press my lace into it, smooth it out and wipe out the extra. It works well without pulling out ur own hair when its time to remove. and I always leave just a very lil of my own edges out.

TOOTSIE METHOD!!!

BHM(lace front section) has a 50+ page long thread on how to do this. there are some YT videos out there too. i have used it in the past and it works. basically it is an elastic that is sewn from ear to ear in the inside of the cap. the trick is getting it to properly fit and being careful not to rip or tear the lace.

i am gonna try out the got 2 b stuff when i get my next lace wig. i was just pinning it down
and leaving my real hair to cover the lace
