How small/short is your stash/regimen....

I'm pretty content with my stash right now:

-Shampoo: Elasta QP Conditioning Creme, Paul Mitchell Shampoo One, Redken Creme Cleanser
-Tea Rinse
-DC: SD Vanilla Silk or DB Pumpkin Seed Conditioner
-Protein: SD Mocha Silk, MO Keratin, Nexxus Emergencee
-Rinse Out: Roux
-Heat Protectant: CHI Silk Infusion, Crece Pelo, Aphogee Green Tea and Keratin
-Leave in and Moisturizer: SD Wheat Germ, DB LTC, DB Daily Leave In
-Sealant: Organix Macadamia, Awapuhi or
Coconut Milk

Most of this stuff is used depending on a) weather b) my hairs mood c) hairstyle.

Please excuse my iPhone; it's trying to get it together

My stash is super small. I want to try new products but I rather save my money since I've been burned a few times.

Shampoo: Black Soap Shampoo
Conditioner: Trader Joe's Nourish Spa
Deep Conditioner: Organicals Deep Conditioning Creme
Protein: Henna (and an egg)
Moisturizer: SM Curl Enhancing Smoothie
Refresher: SM Yucca and Baobab Thickening Moisture Mix
Sealant: Homemade flax seed cream

I'm a recovering product junkie, so my stash in shrinking in size. As of now, I have a small bottle of shampoo, 2 conditionner bottles, & my leave in. #so proud

Sent from my sexy phone.

I think I got my stash down to what I want (one of each):

- chelating shampoo
- rinse out conditioner
- tea spray
- leave in conditioner
- protein treatment

The other things like acv, baking soda and oil I use sparingly (I use the oil for my body too so I have to buy it anyway).

My regimen:

Co-wash every other day

ACV rinse once a week

Protein treatment/acv rinse/conditioner bi-weekly

Oil scalp as needed. My hair can't stand oil left in it so I have to do it in close proximity of a co-wash.

This has been working for me... I don't really want to try any new methods/products either because this leaves me with soft, shiny hair and hardly any shedding/breakage. Also, everything in my regimen can be done in the shower, so I don't have to hop in/out for anything and it's done before all the hot water is gone lol. It seems like every time I try a bandwagon my hair doesn't like it so I'm just going to stick with what works and call it a day.

I have a pretty decent stash, but only use six actual products out of the twenty something I have due to starting a new hair care routine:

Pre Poo: Warm Scalp massage with Hazelnut Oil

Shampoo: AppleValleyNaturalSoap Chocolate Silk Shampoo bar or Marshmallow & Aloe Shampoo Bar.

Leave In Conditioner: VO5 Silky Experiences Shea Cashmere Moisturizing Conditioner or V05 Moisture Milks Passion Fruit Smoothie Conditioner.

Oil/Sealant: Olive Oil

I do the above every other day and simply spritz second day hair with water and maybe add a bit more olive oil if the hair feels dry. If I need protein, I'll probably add an egg to my oil pre poo or start using a protein leave in conditioner spray like Redken Anti Snap.

I'm starting over, so I definitely plan to keep it as simple as possible.

1 clarifying shampoo(Ion is my staple)
1 moisturizing shampoo
1 deep conditioner(I would prefer one with a mixture of protein and moisture)
1 leave in
1 moisturizer
1 oil
1 serum

^^even this is doing too much for me, I could actually narrow that down.

Thankfully I'm in recovery. Stash decreasing and regimen simplified :)
I'm currently on a no buy & plan to get rid of anything that's not in rotation.
I'm also not as obsessed with using all natural products as I was before but still prefer it to be the majority.

Clarify as needed: clay + ACV, Selsun blue

DC as needed: ORS replenishing pack

Hot oil scalp as needed: oil mixture

Cowash/moisturize/detangle 1-3x wk: Aussie Moist, Tresemme naturals, KCKT

Seal: QB AOHC, castor oil, oyin bsp, grease

Style: flaxseed gel, eco argan, lotta body, ORS edge control

I usually airdry.

Still have minimization to do. Having too many products annoys me. I have other stuff to get rid of & everything on ^^ list won't be repurchased. From here on, whatever I buy off of my wishlist will be a replacement, NOT an addition.

[.....]... if it contains water it will moisturize [.....].

Lies. All lies

I am using a product that contains water and my hair feels dry and rough. I am so salty right now . I have no one to blame but myself. It didn't do a good job of keeping my hair moisturized in my bun (even oil alone does that well for me), I don't know why I thought it would do a good job with my hair out :spinning:.

My regimen is short, and my stash is small.

Stash
Shampoo/Cleanser - Terressentials Mudwash, Pantene Aqua Light, Henna Sooq poo bar
Conditioner - Tresemme Naturals (on my last bottle)
Pomade - Nature's Blessings

Regimen
1) Wash once a week
2) M/S, and restyle as needed throughout the week (prairie braids)

Products:

Terressentials Mud Wash
Oils/butters: EVCO, castor, avocado butter

Regimen
Wash day (1x/week): prepoo w/ EVCO, mudwash, oils & butter as leave ins.
M&S (every other dayish): water & EVCO/castor

-----

That's it. My hair has thrived with simplicity. The non-drying mudwash changed everything. Now that my hair isn't being stripped, I don't need to do so much to add moisture. Now that plastics, emulsifiers & waxes in conditioners are gone, there's no need for harsh cleaning. My hair stays in balance, and I need to do little to maintain it.

KittyMeowMeow, I notice that you are not using a conditioner with the mud wash. I love Left Coast lemon, but I'm curious if you are still loving your hair without conditioner. I think that I could get away with using my LC lemon and pomade.

Whoa, I'm sorry, I missed your message!

Yes, I am still conditioner free and loving it! I'm getting moisture from water, EVCO, Castor oil, and Avocado butter.

I do a moisturizing prepoo by lightly spraying w/ water then coating in EVCO. Then I apply diluted mudwash with an applicator bottle (sometimes adding powdered milk for protein), then rinse. I let my hair dry (my hair responds better to this, some ppl prefer to add leaveins wet), and then add butter & oil. I moisturize during the week by lightly spraying w/ water & working it in, then sealing w/ oil.

My regimen is short, and my stash is small.

I'm a recovered product junkie. One day I sat down and counted up the amount I spent in the previous year and I wasn't pleased so I keep it simple now:

Conditioner/Deep Conditioner (1 -2 times a week): AOGPB Ylang Ylang and Lavender

Shampoo (once a month; scalp only shampoo 1-2 times a week): AOGPB Ylang Ylang and Lavender

Leave - In: Bee Mine Luscious Balancing Conditioner (I think that's what it's called).

Winter-time scalp 'grease' - Peppermint pomade from thePomade Shop (etsy)

I think I finally got my stash down to:

Chelating shampoo
Baking soda
Apple cider vinegar
Rinse out conditioner
Deep conditioning oils
Tea spray
Leave in conditioner
Protein spray

As of right now I wash/condition/blow dry every other day and deep condition once a week. It's been working well... can't wait for my touch up next month

Well, the regimen's the same but the products are different. I have a lot of conditioners (and I'm just going to accept that I'll keep buying/making them if I'm interested lol) and ditched the baking soda, apple cider vinegar (except for relaxer time), oils, tea spray and leave in. Now I wash/homemade deep treatment/rinse out conditioner/blow dry. My hair was thriving with the old stuff but fell out at the scalp due to stress so I had to start all over around this same time last year... grown almost 6 inches so far though :yep: Now I just have shampoo, various conditioners, some left over protein and a homemade deep treatment. Not sure if the relaxers count as "product" but I have those too for when the time comes.

I'm over buying products for like the next year I think. My stash is too big and I already found my staples. So I have to focus on using the "blah" products up. STAPLES: Prepoo- whipped coconut oil and finger detangle Shampoo- pantene truly natural cowash Deep condition- pantene truly natural deep conditioner and SM manuka honey masque (love this combo) and detangle with comb/denman Rinse with cool water Leave in- kimmaytube leave in Style- usually I use whatever styler is around, Eco styler gel, and shea butter mix I usually have a few go to styles: medium twists, flat twist updo, flat twist out, bun, braid/ marley twist extensions. *i also do my head in 6 sections for each step.

My goal is to do all steps in 3-4 hours

My stash has gotten a lot smaller. Once I found a brand I liked and nailed down what products worked for me, I no longer needed the other stuff. I use 6 products and 1 additive.

Shampoo
Detangling Conditioner:
Deep conditioner:
1 butter
1 Oil
Gel

Updating...my routine & products have changed a little....

my staples
- clarifying shampoo (once a month)
- cleansing conditioner used as a weekly cleanser and leave-in. I'm also testing it as a DC.
- spray detangler
- a moisturizer
- an oil (I seal my hair now)
- gel, dry shampoo, heat protectant

I also own a chlorine-removal shampoo, JBCO, and a curl cream but these are not staples. I will repurchase a different heat protectant and a curl product w/a stronger hold. I will not repurchase the chlorine shampoo & just use my clarifying one. And of course, I own hair tools. Overall my reggie is still minimal.

shampoo: ogx coconut milk shampoo
conditioners: tresemme naturals, purification masque and occasionally joico moisture balm
oil/grease: olive oil, hot six oil and blue magic
leave ins: shea butter, ogx coconut hydrating mist oil
gel: flax seed gel, eco styler crystal

When things don't work for me I usually get rid of them which keeps my stash kinda small, I keep trying new things though, always looking for something better lol

I have a small stash/regimen:

Weekly Co-Wash: Trader Joe's Tingle Treat
Bi-weekly Protein Treatment: Megatek Rebuilder (old formula)
Weekly DC: Giovanni Nutrafix
When needed Leave In/Light Protein/Styler: Giovanni Smooth as Silk
When needed Gel/Moisturizer/Styler: SheaMoisture Curl Souffle
Sealant: EVCO mixed with EV Red Palm Oil
Detangler: AVJ mixed with rose water
Mix Ins: Glycerin, EVOO, EVCO

I have a huge stash that once was dwindling down until I became a member of beauty subscription boxes like Curlkit and Birchbox. I'm just gonna give the vast majority of my products away.

I had simplified my stash. Then, I decided that I wanted to convert my stash back over to mostly natural and products from Black-owned companies.....so now it's huge while I figure out exactly what I like. I'll give away or sell the stuff that I don't like to wittle it back down.

I've always tried to keep it simple.

Shampoo: Yes to Carrots! Scalp Relief Shampoo
Deep Conditioner/Co-wash: Alikay Naturals MudSud Hair Wash (will be replacing with another dead sea mud wash soon)
Rinse Out/Detangler: Yes to Carrots! Scalp Relief Conditioner
Leave In: Kinky Curly Knot Today
Gel: Kinky Curly Curling Custard
Cream: As I am Leave In
Oils: Argan Oil (sealant), Avocado Oil (hot oil)

I was wash twice a week and style in a wash and go.

(Relatively) New regimen:

Shampoo once every other week and cowash the rest of the time.

As for my stash... it's medium... large for some. All of it is either relaxer, hydrolyzed protein, conditioner or shampoo. I don't have anything outside of those categories but the biggest one is the conditioner.

No idea what a small stash is lol

However my weekly wash day regimen is pretty short I think:
Detangle
Cleanse
DC
Apply Leave In sprays and styler for a wash and go (I don't do raking nor apply product by sections). I usually throw a couple flat twists in front, then take down once dry for some definition.

This is the absolute shortest regimen I have ever had:

Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
Shikakai Powder
OH Juices and Berries
QB Burdock Root Cream

It worked very well and was not time consuming at all. However, this is not what I am currently using. My stash has grow quite large since I started putting color in my hair. I feel I have to do a lot more. I am also about to start heat styling so I will be deep conditioning and doing protein treatments more often.

I have a simple regimen but a medium stash and want a large stash lol. I do the same wash, condition, seal, bun everyday I just like trying new products.

Many days, I literally only use shampoo and castor oil. My hair is healthier with the simpler regimen/fewer products. I have a hypothesis as to why that may be the case, but I might share that in another thread.
