Weekly once until a month ago when I went underprocessed. Now I can't take it with the frizzy of the underprocessed parts and now flat iron once a week. :perplexed

The rollerset kept my ends bumped and hair flowing for a good 5 days so I was able to put zero heat on my ends.

When I finally get my corrective in a few weeks I'm going back. Weekly helped me retain length. Having body keeps me from busting out the flatiron.

Learning how to roller set= BFeather's hair finally on track  I was able to go months without flat ironing because it gave me flat iron results without the direct heat.

I voted twice per week. I wash on Saturdays and Tuesdays or Wednesdays. I want to try airdrying a rollerset. I've never done that. I just want to compare. My hair loves rollersets.

Wow how do you manage twice a week? I find from start to finish (including wash and dc time) rollersets take 4 hours. Are you doing ponytail sets or som other quick method?

I used to roller set more than once a week too (every 5 days or so) when I was relaxed. At first it seemed to take forever (hours) but over time I got better at it and faster. Took me no more than one hour to do before getting under the dryer. Tips like making sure my hair was fully detangled, soaking wet and smooth coming out the shower. Wetting the magnetic rollers. Rolling upwards and pinning base for a tighter roll. Using less product. Using bigger rollers as my hair got longer. At one point I stopped using my blow dryer and flatiron at all for over a year. No direct heat and my hair flourished to BSL.

Memories like these make it so tempting to go back to relaxers.

I sit under the dryer on cool when I roller set to stretch my hair for twisting. I do this weekly. It works for me and I am natural.

Weekly. Used to be much faster but I got a little lazy and started doing more heatless styles or flat ironing. I'm trying to be more diligent now that my hair length is grazing BSL though. Hair seems to flourish the most when I consistently roller set.

Oh, and I do use heat to dry them with. Think my hair would beat me up if I tried air drying my roller sets

Yes ma'am. Twice a week. Once with a Full Monty (prepoo, wash, dc) and also with my Co-Wash. Hair loves it.

This is my old profile... I think I did twice a week for about 3-4 months. Now once every two weeks. Hair is doing really well too! I try not to blow dry, but sometimes I need a quick doo. So I tension method Bd. But I'd rather set if I have the time.
