I have no clue because this is actually my first year taking care of my hair how Im suppose to be. Well I actually started when I joined the board whatever month that was.

well this is my first year in this whole hair care thing, and my first year actually retaining the length i'm getting so... i'm not 100% sure but I'll estimate.

so far, i've been at this since March 2005, which means 6 months and my hair is 3.5" longer than it was when i started, including trims... from what I see, I seem to get 0.6" per month when i average it, every 6 weeks, i have 1" of new growth... so ESTIMATING... 7-8" haha! shoo, i hope that's true!!!

March 2006 I'll be able to tell you for sure for sure... 1 year into my health care. by then i'm supposed to be at 27" but i'm just aiming for 26" hopefully! :look:

I'm not totally sure. My hair grows anywhere from just under half an inch to 3/4 of an inch a month. Sometimes I get more than 6 inches, sometimes I get less than 6.

I would say that on average it's 6.

I'm going to pay more attention to this in the future.

I cut some hair in the back (the relaxed ends) and straightened it to measure. I have 4 inches of growth after 6 months, so I put 8 or more for a year.

I think I get the normal 6 inches in a year.

But in order to catch up with some areas of breakage, I've been trimming gradually for a fuller body of hair because I didn't want a major cut. I guess the length I've gotten lately has been sacrificed for volume.

:ohwell:

Not really sure how much since I really just started taking care of my hair this August 2005. So, I am thinking though that I am pretty average around 6 inches a year.

This year from January to September, I would honestly say that my hair grew about 5 inches in 8 months which is'nt that bad. I am guessing I will probaly get around 3 more inches by December which is 3 more months. Nowadays though, I am not concerning myself on how much length I get per year...my concern is keeping it healthy and full and leaving it alone, bottom line. No more challenges or anything, just wash it once per week and leave it alone..I find my hair grows so much faster when I do less to it.

Current hair length: 3 inches past brastrap when blown out..had
a light trim back in July and my hair is growing more even and fuller.
Last relaxer touchup: September 17th, 2005 (attained 2 in. of ng in 8 wks!)
Shrinkage length: 2 inches above brastrap
Hair length and texture: 4b very course and thick

I never really measured or kept track of my hair growth, But I am keeping track as of my last relaxer until next year that time so far I have 2in of NG at 12wks and 4days post relaxer, 3wks and 3days left, so I can't wait to see the result of the 16wk stretch!

about 5-6 inches...i wish i could be one of those to get an inch a month...wow...12 inches a year blows my mind with that kind of growth i'd be at waist length in no time!

i've never seen any photos where someone gained 12 inches in one year. im sure some people do get 1 inch every month, but i've not yet seen the photo evidence over a 12 month period. it would be amazing though.

I really don't care how much my hair grows in a year. What I care about is how much of the hair I can RETAIN that did grow. Ya feel me?! :)

ITA :yep:
I'm not sure how much because I have never measured my new growth properly but I would say the average of 6" a yr. I had a touch-up last week & started using MTG so will start to measure.
