I tried 2, MTG & BT I had a nice growth spurt with MTG the first time I went Natural a few years ago but never stuck with it because it stank and was too oily.

BT I used around April to help my edges which it did help, but then I made my own Herbal Oil made with fresh herbs and that really helped, but I never experienced the growth that others have said they got, I tried everyway to use it and I just couldn't, I am sensitive to sulfur and I can smell it, plus being outside in the Texas heat the sulfur smell was there and everytime I move my head I could smell it.

But I never had any problem with growth and decided that I would just let my hair do it's thing like it has been doing. But I am happy for the other women who are seeing success with their growth aides and I hope that they accomplish their hair goals!

i've used surge
but i didnt really pay attention to results

i JUST started using lenzi's request (yesterday, actually)

and i should get BT sometime soon.

although, i'm only interested in using them perhaps for the summer...to get a little boost (hopefully) and then go back to my regular regimen (mainly because i dont want to continously spend the money on them haha)

but those are the only topical growth aids i've used.

My scalp seems to  sulphur products. MTG DEFINITELY gave me growth last year so i'm back with this, my homemade sulphur mix thickened and softened my hair nicely so i use it 2-3 times a week, BT seems to maintain what i had so using that too. I started using MN on my edges and they seem to be filling in nicely. I think topical growth aids work for me and i'm just trying to be majorly consistent to meet my goals;)

i've used MTG, Surge, and MN....
I've had some interesting experiences with each- MTG stunk and broke me out all over my face so that had to go. Surge was excellent. I remember using it and feeling the tingles and it just felt like it really worked for my hair. I had forgotten about Surge until everyone found out it was discontinued- and now i want some again :ohwell: . I used MN most recently and it was great and i tore through quite a few bottles but i'm targeting on getting my skin together and all of these topical growth aids seem to ruin my skin so i'm trying not to use them again but maybe if i get discouraged soon... i might have to.

Right now I'm trying Dr Miracle's temple and nape gro balm. i'm only 3 days in, so ill update at the end of the month!

I'm a bit embarassed 'cause i've tired almost all the topical products listed. I've even tried BT and now, i use my own sulphur mix.

I voted MTG and Castor oil

I have used MTG, but since I have my BT... I don't use it anymore! BT is a keeper!!
And I just started using castor oil... Let's see if it works!!!!

I've only used one, BT. I use it so inconsistently, it's hard tell...
But don't think i will repurchase, for the simple fact that i wanna be able to grow my hair w/o growth aides.

I feel the same way, Since I have BT I am gonna use it up but I won't purchase again, My hair grows without growth aides but I guess sometimes you want that extra push LOL!!!!

I have used MTG... didn't like the smell.
Now, I use a mix of wgo, peppermint, and rosemary
whenever I feel like it, but I think my hair will grow
a little over ½ an inch per month no matter what I do
... I've learned to accept that.

The only one listed I have used is Lenzi's request. It is working to fill in my thinned out edges and widows' peak. I have used natural oasis pomade for years, and in college, I would stop using it, if I needed to wait for a touchup, because it has always made my hair grow.

MTG, Surge and castor. MTG was good, I did see a difference, but I won't use it again because I can make an alternative, plus I am using Mega-Tek and it is more advanced, Surge I can't get anymore, but that was good also, and castor oil, I still use.

ive tried just about everything most of them worked but had some sort of side effect or something that made me stop using. Now im using an all natural mix and its working great.:yep:

I had a bottle of Surge about 5 years ago, I wasn't convinced that it was anything more that a bottle of water. Never purchased again.

I used some MN I had laying around, about a 1/2 tube, it was okay. It lasted, mixed with other stuff, for about a month. Never purchased again.

I have used Castor oil for years. No routine or regimen, just random usage. This includes JBCO.

Homemade mix. I will always use a sulpher/oil mix AND/OR Rosemary EO with coconut oil. No routine or regimen, it depends on how hair is styled and what my scalp needs.

I've tried surge, Boundless Tresses, MN and my own homemade stuff.

Surge worked the best. It worked for me AND others.

BT works, but it didn't blow me away. I can't stand the smell.

MN worked as good as BT. After a while I decided it may not be the best thing to be putting on my scalp.

I made my own aloe vera gel based growth aide. Again, I saw some increased growth, but nothing that blew me away. One day I will try to reformulate it.

I'm unsure if the last 3 worked because they actually WORK or because of the increased scalp stimulation. :scratchch

to grow back my temple hairline, i used Pomada de Azufre cut with coconut oil and peppermint oil.

worked like a charm!

MTG- I used one whole bottle. That was my first year of growing and I got great growth!!!

MN- used this for a while but it gave me headaches. I used it at the same time I used MTG so don't know how much it worked

Ovation- I am using that now and we will see how much growth I get!

Wild Growth, ADE Hairdress by Dudley, I think I bought some Doo Grow oil, but my Doo did not grow. Oh and BB Super Gro (did nothing). Only the first two worked.

I have tried :

Bee mine... made my hair oily and did not see any growth

Moe Gro... made my hair oily, didn't see a lot of growth

Megatek... saw some growth initially, but then made my hair thin (shedding) not worth the trouble.

MN... MN was my first growth aid I used and I had great results with it ! I currently went back to using it and I'm going to stick with it.

Ok I just realized that I posted in this thread before... Ooops:blush:

using mega-tek and BT at the moment. alternating days. i've just stopped trimming my ends about a month ago, so i don't really know which is working or how well. when i was in college i tried MTG, but gee wiz, if you have a bf sleeping over regularly, this doesn't work out well. you stink too bad. plus i already had bad skin and the oil in it made it worse.

I used MTG, Surge, MN and Castor Oil

I will continue to use MTG(im not at this time)
I tried MN but never stayed consistent with it
I used Surge and I still have some(not using it but will start in the colder months)
I tried JBCO but didnt use that like it should
So the only thing that I used consistently was MTG and I got great growth from it.
The proof is in my siggy!

Tried

MTG
Lenzi's Request
MN
Surge
Megatek

What works
MTG
Lenzi's request

I never used MN long enough to see results. I broke out from Surge and MTG. MTG smells terrible. Now I'm just not consistent enough to use growth aids. I do fine with eating right, taking a vitamin, staying active, and co-washing.

I have used Mega Tek - got a little thickness from it but stopped using it because of the expense.

I like MN results wayyy better and will stick with using it because I can find it for a good price and it lasts a long time when I mix it with oils, sulfur 8 grease,a good water-based moisturizer and essential oils.

I never finished my first concoction with 2 tubes of MN or my first botlle of MT and bought 2 bottles of Bee Mine and never opened them.
I might try my MN again since it helped with dandruff....

For about 6 weeks I used the Hair & Scalp serum from Texture Playground. She sent me two samples and I put it on my scalp every 2-3 days. I did see a significant amount of growth on the small section I applied it to so I'm happy. I won't use any other growth serum though. I just bought 2 more serums a few minutes ago.

I'm currently using a mix of MN, cayenne pepper, leave in conditioner, peppermint oil and a couple of drops of castor oil
