only to have them completely ignore it even though they asked you to do it for them? i've done this twice for 2 of my coworkers (who really do need it for their extremely damaged hair). they both are ignoring it though saying things like they got no time or money for conditioners. AARRGGGG!!! IT'S SO FRUSTRATING!!

Girl, I know exactly what you are talking about. I did this several times for my sisters. When I first decided to transition they just looked :perplexedat me like I was losing my mind. So I went back home months later and they kept asking me about my hair. I then I had to take the time to write everythang all over AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!! (I was like I have other things to do than mess around with ya'll non-believers). But I am glad they finally took some of my (I mean ya'll) advice.:)

I dont even try. Most people say...How Much Did That Product Cost?? Nawh, That is to much! lol

So most time to avoid the trouble, I just tell people the basics and what to avoid. That seems to work out better.

For my mother..did she follow the advice..H&LL NAW..her hair, especially those ends are still jacked up

I try not to get into that with ppl anymore. They can be negative and thats not what IM tryna hear while Im on my journey. I just tell who asks me and I get into real discussions only on the forum and family. BTW I had to literally threaten my sister to get my neices hair started on the journey.(she's 8)So I dont have that much patience for anyone else.LOL

It has been since 2002 that i had written a hair regime for mom and she never looked at it. I made 20 copies along with boxes she could checkmark to make sure she doesnt forget anything. She says it takes to much for her to do all that stuff. What hurts me is when my siblings come and visits and she tells them that I dont tell her what i do with my hair and that I'm keeping it a secret:mad: Yet I tell her a million times what to do and done many copies and she even tried it once:perplexed

I don't give hair advice to strangers unless they ask. When they do ask, I don't tell them exactly what I do to my hair because I know that it won't work for them. Who knows if they follow my advice because I don't see them anymore after that...

I must admit it is really frustrating, because I want to help when they are having problems with their hair but it seems like they are just wasting my time.

I emailed all my notes and links to websites to my friend and I don’t think I even got a thank you back. I gave my sister advice about sealing the ends using the curling iron with foil and oil, but instead she ran it by her hairdresser who advised against it because she thought it would dry out the ends instead!
