I recently bought Frizz Ease first help conditioning cream...its sais on the back that your supposed to wash it out...It gave my hair such beautiful curls that I decided to just leave it in !
Can this leave my hair in any serious risk, or prone to breakage ??
Anyone else do this too ?

It depends on the ingredients. Shea Moisture's Deep Treatment Masque is supposed to be a deep conditioner, but since it has all natural ingredients, I trust it as a cream to twist my hair with and leave-in. As a matter of fact, I like it better as a styling cream than as a wash-out conditioner.

I use conditioner as leave-ins aaaaaaall the time.

I never read instructions, and if I do, I just ignore them and do what I want to do anyway.

I prefer using conditioner as a leave-in more than traditional leave-ins :yep:

I used to leave Frizz-Ease Conditioner on my daughter's biracial hair when she was younger because it made her curls stay in spiral shape rather than get fuzzy. She always had a thick, healthy head of hair.

I use regular conditioners as leave ins all the time. I have not seen any damage from it. I do dilute it some though.

Been doing it for.... since I've been allowed to do my own hair so about 12 yrs now, I'm 24.

I use Aussie Moist wash-out condish as my leave-in. My hair LOVES it! I actually learned this after reading the book Curly Like Me.

I use Aussie Moist as a leave in if I am wet bunning.

I rinse it completely out and apply a little back into my hair while in the shower so I can distribute it easily. I rinse it completely out because I can never tell exactly how much is left so my crown always ended up with less when it needs more:)

I use Aussie Moist conditioner as a moisturiser, and honestly, that's the product that got me thru this 2 year transition :yep:

been doing it since I started transitioning and I only get benefits from it. I don't diluite it because thick stuff keeps my hair softer. The only requirements is
- that they are absolutely protein free
- that they don't have bad alcohols or irritants, generally ingredients that are bad for hair (I use the tightlycurly.com online ingredient dictionary as a reference)

My favourite thing is using a natural moisturizing conditioner as DC and when I remove my plastic cap I seal and style instead of rinsing it out. Conditioners are the only moisturizers that work for me, as well.

I doubt it can be bad for your hair. I use regular conditioner as a leave in when ever i go to the beach. Prevents my hair from drying out from the sun and when i get out of the ocean my hair is soft rather than all hard from the sea salt.

I have used reg. conditioners as a leave in often. It works for me, but sometimes conditioners smell like... conditioners and I don't like that smell in my hair.

Because of this, I bought the So Sexy Conditioners from VS and tried that. It worked very well... but like any perfume, by the end of the day.... peeeeuuuuwww. I don't always want to wash my hair every day, but with that stuff, I'd have to.

Leaving in real conditioner works for me. And I've had no adverse effects. Mentally I don't like it, though. The smell and then the coated feel of my hair. I only do it for a wash and go that I can trust (I know it will work.)

Other than that, I use coco cream leave in from shescentit. JC also worked well for me.

I rarely use rinse out conditioners as leave ins because my hair always feel and look coated or filmy. I should try diluting them to see what happens...

Yes I forgot that. I do coat my hair with conditioner before I go to Mr. Splashy's Water Bootcamp class. Can't get out of there without wet hair!

I agree!!!!!! My hair THRIVES off conditioner!!

I cowash DAILY with Aussie Moist 3-Minute Miracle (even though it's a "deep conditioner). I leave in regular, full strength Aussie Moist Conditioner with Shea Moisture Curl Smoothie over it DAILY. No breakage at all! As a matter of fact, my ends have never looked better, my hair is strong, shiny and healthy and I rarely need more than a dusting, which I get every 12-16 weeks. My stylist always remarks that my ends look so good! It's my conditioning regimen! I also overnight or hooded dryer deep condition with Joico Moisture Recovery Balm weekly and protein bi-weekly with Giovanni. Conditioner is my STAPLE and my hair is GROWING!

I HATE "Leave-in" CONDITIONERS! They're wimpy and watered down. They usually leave my hair hard and crunchy, and they don't do anything for my thick, porous, course hair! Total waste of money in the past!!

i love condishies, I leave in some regular ones all the time. So far, no ill effects.

You're not the only one - my hair always looks dull when I don't thoroughly rinse out the conditioner.

I use HE LTR all the time as a leave in (because they stopped sellin the actual leave in in my area). It gives my WNG's and braidouts perfect hold, moisture and shine. I wouldn't do this with a protein conditioner though but like someone else says, it depends on the ingredients. But I've had no adverse reactions, I actually think it's helped me retain my length.

I HAVE to wash out conditioner. I have a sensitive scalp that is prone to flaking and itching. Plus my hair is not porous so that stuff would probably sit on my hair like slime. I can't even co-wash without issues. Maybe I'll try diluting some and see if that helps with my moisture retention and shrinkage with wash and gos and puffs.

I use Aussie Moist as well. My hair LOVES it as a leave in. I dilute it with water and add coconut oil.

For the past two wash n go's I've been using my V05 conditioner as a leave in. I think I'm gonna continue this bc it doesn't leave my hair white and it weighs my hair down the way I like it.

The actual leave ins have now will just be used as moisturizers and styling aids for twists and puffs. :yep:

It's never done me or anyone I know any damage. Sometimes I partially rinse depending on the conditioner if it leaves a slight film on my hair. Otherwise, I leave it.

Another Aussie Moist fan. I love using the conditioner as a leave-in. That stuff is great. But I took a break from it to use Oyin Hair Dew.
