I didn't gain a lot of inches, but I gained thickness.

How much did you trim? I trimmed 1/2 inch in March, June, August and 1 inch in December (2.5 inches total).

I retained 1.5 of the 4 inches I grew.

I haven't measured so I don't know. Strange too that I am not concerned about it. I know it grew quite a bit but the actual measurement - don't know.

I think I actually lost inches.
Length in January: I think I was grazing Shoulder length
How much I trimmed: well I shaved the back off, but actually trimmed about 1/4 on the left and various lengths up to an inch on the right.
Current length: half inch in the back, grazing collarbone on left, and possibly chin length on the right.

I only started measuring in August, but I went from 5-6" all around to 8.5-9" all around.

Negative. My stylist, who I will no longer allow to trim my hair, gave me a 3 or 4" cut.

How much I trimmed: .5" in February, April, June, July, September, October; 2 inches December; total trim 5"
Current length: almost blunt MBL
I did NOT like my experiment with layers. Maybe I'll just layer my crown a little and leave the rest alone.

It's interesting because if you don't get too obsessive about it, it gives you a better realization of your growth rate per year.

It also brings us to a better realization of growth versus retention.
