Naw. I haven't used it. Too scared of all of the work, following the process, and not being certain about the results.

I havent used it yet either. But I am dying to use it, but am very confused what to buy and how to mix/use. ::sigh::

I really want to but I don't want to have a hair setback if I don't do it correctly.

I really want to but I used Clariol Natural Instincts and and it says Do Not Use With Henna and now I am scared to try it. I have put too much work into this head to mess it up now. lol

I havent used it either, I purchased cassia instead...but I havent even used the cassia yet because I got my Nexxus Enphuse before the cassia and I love it....if all that makes any sense.

Anyway, I only wanted henna for its strengthening properties but read that cassia does the same thing without the color.

Seems like most of us are on the same page. I want to try it but scared to death. Everyone says it easy but I feel like there is so much missing in the messages and its very confusing. I know for me to use the Henna, I have to use the one thats for body art thats all I really know. Because I have a color on my hair. I do know this I will never ever put a regular dye on my hair again. I absolutely hate it. I am not good with measuring so that--- I pass right :ohwell: over. Apparently, you can get the stuff add water and go from there, yeah right!!! I looked on those websites and it is not as simple as that.

I haven't used it either. But, if there was a way to use it and get my hair an reddish brown color I would give it a go. Maybe..

I only used it once about a month or so ago. Its not hard at all. Its hard to mess up as long as you have 100% BAQ henna, you cant go wrong. All you really need is water, the other stuff is just extra.

The only reason I haven't done it since this is cuz i'm too cheap to order some more (even though its not expensive)! lol I really want to though

I haven't but I want to in the very near future, I think it looks easy, I called an Indian store in my area they had henna but not indigo, I want a brown color so I need both. It seems like everybody likes it, I might try the clear one first

I haven't used it yet. I was going to today actually but then I chickened out :-( I was scared because I just got a relaxer last week and I really don't know if it's a good idea to do it so close after a relaxer. I think I'll try it next weekend though. I'm also scared that my hair is going to change color and I really don't want that....oh well.

According to a poll on another henna thread, it looks like most of the ladies here have not used henna yet. I'm still learning about it. :bookworm:

I haven't. I used to a different brand many years ago. I think it was called Hennalucent or something like that. I didn't know there were so many others so I'm still learning from the threads too! I love the shine the ladies are getting from it.

I haven't used it but I have been tempted. I doubt if I will ever use it though. The complicated mixes overwhelm me. Also, I don't want to mess up a good thing because the regimen I have now has my hair thriving and I don't think it's worth it to throw a wrench in it.

I don't plan to jump on the henna bandwagon......I finally nailed down a regimen that's working for my hair, so I'm staying put.....

I was really scared to use it at first, I though it would take my hair out! But it's actually quite easy. Here's the basics:

Before you do anything else, do a strand test --use hair from your comb or brush, and just mix it into a little bit of the henna for a couple of hours. Then rinse it off. Pull on it to see how strong it is, this is also a good way to see what color your hair will turn out to be, compare it to other hair from your comb. Of course if your hair dissolves when it hits the henna...don't use it!

When it comes to mixing, all you need is some water, you can also thrown conditioner or oil in it if you want. Mix it up until it's like gravy, throw it on, cover with a plastic cap, and go about your business. You can leave it on as long as you want, 45 minutes, even all night.

Then rinse, apply a deep conditioner, rinse again, and voila! That's henna.

That's it, that's henna, that's all folks!

I'm amazed that it sounds so complicated but if I think about it, I guess it would reading what everyone is adding and doing to try to make it 'their special' blend.

My first several uses were just plain ole henna and water, no terp, no oils, nada. When I want a quick fix without all the bells and whistles, I always go back to henna and water.

I guess when I learned, I read a lady's journal who used just henna with not much else so it was easy, no deciding what to, or not to add. Just mix and go. She never said anything about color release so I didn't know about it. I took her photos as 'gospel' and plunged in...been in ever since.

Best of luck ladies, whatever you decide to do. If you have a regimen that works, don't mess with it, do you and don't feel bad about it!

As for me, henna is a way of life!
