Never. I'd spritz water on it and slap it into a bun before I'd skip anything because of my hair. That's what bobby pins are for anyway.

No, maybe should have but no. Even with The Beast we have an understanding Mommie don't miss no big events.

Never in my life. But then again I don't fuss too much over my appearance ("my give a damn is broke" lol). I wear a bun 95% of the time, a braid-out ponytail 5%. If I've overslept or something I will put on a spanish wrap style scarf to get to class on time.

Sadly I have missed a few events like church, hanging out-but not super major once-in-a lifetime events (although church is important still) because I felt my hair needed fixing. Naturally you plan for the biggies in advance. This used to never happen to me. I don't want to be a slave to my hair, which is why I am taking measures to ensure that does not happen. It's not worth it, especially if it can be avoided with better planning-in my case.

No I will bun/ponytail and scrunchy and keep it movin.

funny story just a few weeks ago I was planning a lazy Sunday. We went to early service the kids were with my sister. When I got home from church I started doing my hair. I was going to prepoo with evco for an hour, dc with conditioner and amla powder then wash and twist. I wasnt in a hurry so I put that dc in slapped on a plastic cap and did some house work. Just before I was going to get under the dry my husband calls me and says we are going to have dinner with the pastor and the first lady. I yelled my hair. I slammed the phone down rinsed put in about some big twist - I think I did 8 or 10. I slapped on a wide head band and hoped no one looked at the back of my head. It was a really casual dinner but still I dont normally go out the house like that. In hind site I could have just wet bunned. I just made a joke during dinner about husbands making plans and informing me at the last minute.

I have miscalculated how much time it takes to take extensions out.... :(

And that that is not something you can really rush without ruining your real hair...

Nope...I have a few half wigs on hand just in case I have a "bad hair day" ... If it's a special event like a wedding etc...I think about what I'm going to do with my hair in advance just as I would plan what outfit I am wearing in advance...I do everything for my hair myself now so I don't even have to wait on an appt. with an hairdresser to do anything...The other day this lady called out from work b/c she had a hair mishap..I was thinking she better stop playing, and go to the bss, get a wig, and come to work....It really was not that serious...
