How Long to Leave in Braids?

Hi Ladies:

I have a question for you. How long do those of you who wear braids keep them in? My hair is growing a lot faster in the back than it is in the front. Just curious. Thanks

ooh chile...i have had my current braids in now for about 2 months...and this is the longest i have ever left braids in...my hair is thriving though..but i am taking these sukas out next week...my braids have been in for a little over 2 months i think.

My personal rule of thumb is 10 to 12 weeks for individuals done w/extensions. Matter of fact, my current set will be 10 weeks old this coming Sunday and will probably be redone next week.

I'm notorious for keeping mine in for 3-4 months... I've NEVER had a problem. But I wouldn't suggest this unless you know what works with your hair.
