How long do you wait to get a relaxer???

this time I waited for 8 weeks...what a nightmare tha twait was!! The last perm I got was not that great...but this time, I know I got a good perm that will actually last longer than that stuff I had last time. Plus, th elady did an overall better job on my hiar at a cheaper price

. I usually get them probably every 6 to 8 weeks, but my hair usually is not SOOOO bad that I HAVE to wear a wig!

I've waited 18 weeks for a relaxer and i would never ever wait that long again, because of the excess breakage and shedding. In future the longest i'd go without a relaxer is 3 months, NO MORE

8-10 weeks depending on growth of course. right now i'm 5 weeks post and i'll definitely need one in 3 weeks! right now my hair is in conrows (2 days) and i'm not taking them out until i get 1 inch growth. i'm hoping i can get it in the next 3-4 weeks! i'm surging (every day) and oiling/sulfur 8 on my scalp(alternate days) my conrows.

This time my goal is 10 weeks I'm on week 8 now. However If I'm okay at 10 I will go for 12! I would LOVE to go 3 months between relaxers. Just think only having a relaxer 4 times a year or every season! Ahhhhh

I wish I could go every 4 months, but alas it is not in me or I should say my hair. LOL

<font color="purple">I'm shooting for 9 months. My last relaxer was in March. I would like to grow out my no-lye and switch to regular lye relaxer in Dec. During that time, I'm going to trim my hair a little at a time to attain my length and keep it in good condition. </font>

I usually relax every 4-5 weeks depending on how much new growth I have and just recently tried to stretch it to 8 weeks but I was too impatient. I only lasted 6.5 weeks. This time Im going to shoot for 12 weeks.

I will be sticking with 10-12 weeks moving forward. Any longer and my fine strands start to rebel by breaking off unless of course my hair is all braided up, hidden and protected.

I did 10 wks the last time for the first time in years and it was great. This time I am currently at 10 wks without any difficulty so I am going to try to stretch it out to 14 or 15. If it feels problematic, I might give in sooner.
