I'm new to this plopping thing...

I noticed that if I fall asleep and leave the t-shirt on all night, the hair stretches and sets more and is a little more crisp... if I only plop for about 30 inutes to half an hour, the process of drying is sped up... but the hair can still be frizzy.

Plopping description/tutorial

Personally, I do not like plopping. In fact these days I do not use towels on my hair at all unless I'm planning to stretch my hair out. Whether I plop my hair, scrunch or just tie a towel to my hair, it will cause major frizziness. My hair is mainly large 4a coils but you would not even know it once the towel is through with it.

Oh, I've been doing this all along - I just didn't know it had a "name". :lachen:

I don't like the name "plopping" as it seems to have nothing to do with having a towel around your head.

I do this for about 15 min. then I let my hair air dry.

if you plop with an old t shirt, you wont get the frizzies and dryness

LOL! I wondered what plopping was doing on a hair forum. I thought it was more to do with toileting, LMAO! :lachen::lachen::lachen:

Ah well, now I know.
