......?

I have some EP hair sew in. I have had it for a month just got it tightened. I wonder how long I can make it....

Depends on how fast your hair grows.

I used to do 12 weeks, but with how fast my hair grows, I can't do no more than 6-8.

Any longer you might risk your conrows locking.

i prefer getting a new sew-in every 8 weeks like clockwork (damn MT!), but if it's not in my budget to do so, then i go 10 weeks, tops.

No more than 3 months. My personal limit is 8-10 weeks or I get extreme matting and tangling.

Personally I think 5 weeks at a time is best for my hair to avoid it drying out from the lack of PROPER even moisture. I am relaxed and when I left a sew-in in my hair for 10-12 weeks at a time, I ended up with damaged hair. Never again:nono:. I will stick with braids, wigs and cornrows from here on in. My braids stylist does not braid tight at all and the braids last a while, the usual 6-8 weeks. I can care for my hair better with these protective styling methods than weaves. I really like how they look but I can get those looks with wigs anyway.

Good luck OP in finding the right balance of time for your sew-in.
