...When to BC is such a personal decision, no one can tell you when the time is right but you sis...You'll know when you're really ready (t.r.u.s.t. me) until then keep on growing it out :)

...My plan was to transition for 18 months or longer. But when it came down to it, the time was right earlier. You will know.

ITA! My plan was to transition for at least a year but as the months went by, I got more and more antsy. I bc'd at the 8 months.

8.5 months.

(That wasn't the original plan but I'm glad I went ahead and did it. I was miserable with my relaxed ends and got so stressed out when I finally chopped I felt free)

i actually don't plan on bc'ing...i was hoping on doing yearly light trims until all the relaxer was cut out (that sounds so unrealistic, but i've only trimmed once in 2008 so i think i can do it lol).

I transitioned for 4-5 months...my hair was in a short cut already so no big shocker when I BC'ed

It was more like mini'Ced LOL

I'm currently 14 months post (last relaxer was March 1, 2007). I'm trying to hold out until September to BC (that will be 18 months), but it's gets harder and harder every day.

I forgot that I posted in this thread. I did manage to make it 18 months too.

My hair was waaaaay to thick to let it go too long. I BC'd at 8 months. I was planning for a year, but my I couldnt TAKE IT ANYMORE!!! lol

i cut my relaxed hair at about 9 months. i was about to move away to school and i didn't want to have to deal with transitioning with a new work load lol

The last time I transitioned I waited about 18 months before I BCed. I had quite nice length then. I like long hair so I wait a while before I BC. This time I'll be growing it out for at least 24 months and trimming gradually.

10 months....1 week shy of 11 months.
I wanted to wait a year but I just couldn't get over the idea of my natural hair and it growing faster if I just didnt have the relaxed ends on it

9 months. I was planning to transition for 24 months, but the 2 textures were making me crazy. I just couldn't justify spending that much time/product detangling ends I had no intention of keeping.
