your relaxers in? Which relaxer are you using? What's your hair type? And what are the results? Please indulge me ladies. I'll be self relaxing in about a week. TIA

Let us know how your relaxer goes!!! I'm anticipating it as much as you are, lol.

I used Vitale lye regular sensitive scalp formula,
my hair type is mostly 4a,
the relaxer was left in for 20-25mins (too long

) and my hair was relaxed bone straight.

Next time i'll use the vitale for 15-20 mins. This relaxer is very strong IMO.

I prefer Affirm mild lye.
My hair type is 4a but tightly coiled. The individual strands are fine and dense.
My stylist does a timed application of the relaxer: 17 minutes. Rollerset my hair is straight and flat. Airdried my hair forms defined ringlets with lots of body.

I use Mizani sensitive scalp relaxer and I have 4a hair.
I leave it on no longer than 12 minutes.
When I was growing back in my hair left it on for 20 min and it broke off my hairline and left a bald spot and I had to start all over again.
I know relax my hairline every other relaxer and it has grown back in stronger and healthy.

I relax my hair in sections. Each section for at least 10 minutes.

I use Motions Mild. To me it works better than Motions Mild with Oil.

My hair type is 3c/4a.

My results are slightly loose curls with less frizz.

I use Mizani mild relaxer. I have 3C hair.
The relaxer is left in for no longer than 10 min.
My results are looser waves and it is a lot easier to comb than when I was completly natural.

Thanks ladies. I'm gonna use the Affirm Mild Lye and leave it on for 15-18 minutes. I plan on relaxing one half of the head at a time. First the front and then the back. I don't wanna end up with bone straight hair or frizzy underprocessed hair either. Thanks for the response. Anyone else?

My stylist uses Aloetrix yellow (lye) or Motions lye regular w/o oil. He leaves it on for about 15 minutes. I have 4A hair, fine texture. My hair is bone straight afterwards if he blows out the rollerset. If not, it's bouncy and full for about an hour. It then begins to flatten out (I love it either way!)
