How long after a texlax should you wait to wash

I am so sorry if this is answered somewhere else but I am wondering how long to wait after a texlax or any relaxer should you wait before you wash your locks? I waited a week after but because I have been in braids and twist extensions and natural for so long I don't have a clue. I thank God everyday for this board. I have learned so much already.Thanks for any help from you ladies.

You can wash as soon as you'd like. Some people like to wait a week or two since after most relaxers, people get their hair styled and they'd like it to last. But whenever you decide to wash is ok.

Cosigning.

I usually wash my hair 2-3 days after my relaxers because that's how often I normally wash it, but you should be able to wash your hair the next day without any problems.
