I have cornrow braids in, I want to take them out some time next week. I will need a relaxer. How long after taking out the braids should I wait?

2 weeks should be fine and like poohbear said do a deep conditioning treatment.

If your hair is healthy I say 1 week

2 weeks? wow. My hair is fine and healty. 2 weeks is a long time.

it just depends on your hair. i've had a retouch the day after i took out cornrows i had in for 5 weeks with no adverse affects.

well Ill take it out on a sunday wash it and deep condition, and then get a relaxer on saturday. I should be okay
