how do you wash your hair if you have twists?

Hair product junkie reloaded!
I thought about getting twists done for the first time and keeping those in for about thre or so weeks, but I am wondering how do you wash those things without getting all tangly?

Two strand twists really show my length well. :up:
 
For me just rinsing helps. Just allowing the water from the shower to get on your scalp. I would try to avoid massage like during a regular shampoo.
 
I just had my hair done in twists tuesday and washed them yesterday. I focused the shampoo on my scalp and gently squeezed my twists as I rinsed the shampoo out. I then put a leave in conditioner on them.
 
When I have twists in, I just rinse with distilled water. I haven't tried to cowash with them, but I will try it if I ever decide to keep twists in for more than a couple of days. I don't use a towel, but rather put on a cotton snood for about ten minutes to absorb the excess water.
