HOW DO YOU USE HENNA?

I see that a lot of you rave about it.I've seen photos and it does make your hair look nice.I hear that it really conditions your hair.I'm not familiar with it myself,but when I think of it I think of tattoos.I may become interested in it sometime in the near future.Is it easy to apply?Are there step-by-step instructions?How long do you keep it in?Where can I get it from and how much does it cost?


Sorry about all the questions,but I need to know as much as I can about a product that I'm not familiar with before I use it.I'm overprotective of my hair.

I decided to go natural in April 07. I have been using Henna because I like color. I actually have it in myhair right now. It's about $2.00 per box. I currently get three applications out of that box. I mixed it with Brahmi powder which have been said to enhance the conditioning properties of the Henna and I put in some Paprika for a reddish tint. Mix it all together with warm water. Apply, cover with plastic cap, and let it work it's magic. I leave it on for various amount of time. Since I don't have anywhere to go today. I probably will not wash it out until tonight. Rinse henna mixture out, wash and condition as you normally would. That's it.

I absolutely love it. I get lots of compliments on the color.
