How do you use henna

I have two boxes of henna red, and want to use it today. I'm afraid that i'm going to dry my hair out if I don't do it right, so help....

The website provided a link to a licensed Henna colorist. This was GREAT! She actually is in MI too where I live. I think this may be a sign from God!!!!! I've sent her an email and hope to meet with her shortly.
