How Do You..."Take It Slow"?

I was discussing this with a friend and we were both wondering...how do you take things slow?
Do you refrain from talking on the phone everyday? Do you only see each other 1x a week or 1x every two weeks. Do you keep your feelings underwraps. What does take it slow mean to you or better yet...how do you take it slow?

*I know, I know, I sound like a Sex in the City episode*, but I would like to know :look:!

How do I take it slow? Have options. I think every single woman should have options when she is dating. You slow yourself down that way, so to speak, because then you can take the time out to learn the individual(s) you're interested in. You can't have strong feelings for 3 or 4 different men.

Now, if you do not have options, get some. Go out once in while, talk on the phone when YOU feel like it. You don't want to wear out your welcome. See how often he contacts you, or wants to take you out. If you're not getting the frequent calls, invites to go out, etc, then he has options. That is enough right there for you to pump ya breaks and lean back for a minute. Another part to the "options" equation can consist of having busy schedule, such as working out, doing volunteer work, etc. In other words, having a life. I could be wrong, but I am interested in reading what the other ladies have to say on this topic.

I think taking it slows refers to of course sex, but also, don't have huge expectations. Sometimes if someone feels like they want a boyfriend/husband or to fall in love, when they meet a guy they want to make him their boyfriend/husband without letting the relationship evolve naturally. So basically don't rush the situation. That guy may not be the one but you're so caught up in wanting love or whatever you try to turn him into the one. Or maybe he could be the one but he's not on your timetable. Its really hard to give concrete examples but I think people know when they are rushing things. Like bringing him to your parents house on the second date.
