How do you measure from scalp to ends?

What spot do you pick as the starting point? How do you know you are picking the same spot each time?

You know, I wondered the same thing? /images/graemlins/smirk.gif The only way I can imagine that this would work would be to a) use a sewing ruler (hahah...what's that called? Measuring tape?)cause it's floppy and then b) put that against your scalp and measure to the ends.

I'm guessing you would also need to do that in several spots of your head to get an accurate figure?

Dunno, really! Just felt like typing a reply to something, I guess! /images/graemlins/grin.gif

I measure in 4 locations. The very front, center of my head, the two sides above my ears, and the back, center of my head. Those locations are easy for me to remember. /images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hey Peb, you need to go ahead on and post some pics now...I don't want to wait until May...*pouting*

Hey Leshia, /images/graemlins/wave.gif

I used to measure and document my hair growth every month. But my hair doen't grow as fast as a lot of the other women here. I only get 1/4" to 1/2" of growth a month and that is hard to track. It was coming a little faster when I started my vitamins, but it seems to have gone back to it's normal growth rate. So I've decided to measure every 5-6 months, so that I don't get too discouraged. /images/graemlins/crazy.gif

That makes sense Pebs. I just thought measuring from my front hairline would be easier because it never changes. I am slow so I would have trouble remembering the exact spot I measured from, especially if I didn't measure often.

I have a widonw's peak and I measure from there with a sewing measuring tape....I think my number is high because I have a big head!!! /images/graemlins/laugh.gif But my hair is growing nicely I've posted a pic from July with my short haircut and hopefully I'll take a February pic, soon. It's dramatically longer than my november pic I attribute that to the vitamins I've been taking and the rosemary oil I've added to my hair products.
