How do you measure your NG

Do you measure your roots or do you stretch and measure how far you ends reach

I've been wondering the same thing! I looked at a few shed hairs last night, and I have about an inch unstretched. A little more if I stretch it out. Hrmmmm....waiting for responses to this one!

I measure my new growth. I don't see a difference when I stretch my ng by my ends. I can only see the entire length when I get a relaxer.

I stretch. I don't have a ruler, so it's just easier to tell by where the hair lands.
