How do you keep braidouts from becoming too loose?

I rollerset my hair, then put it into two braids. The back looks great, but the front & longer pieces of my hair didn't stay wavy/curly like the rest.
I'm thinking maybe I put too much oil, to seal in my moisturizer.

Any suggestions on how to make a braidout hold?

Maybe you should add more braids. If you only have 2 braids then your waves will be looser and won't hold at all that much, especially up front. But if you had at least 2-4 more braids you will have more definition and the waves will hold longer.

I think you're right...I was trying to do only two braids to smooth out the curl of my rollerset. I guess I did that well... ;)
Anyway, tonight I will very slightly mist with water and use more braids, but just up front. The back is waaaay curly so I'll leave them out for a night... We'll see.. Thanks!

Doing it wet gives it more definition and hold. I've done a dry one once, and by the end of the day, parts were straight, parts were wavy, it was a mess.
