How can I get sand out of my hair? I've tried shampooing several times and conditioning and also used oil, but I still have so much of it in my hair. I think it's making my hair break. Does anyone know how I can get this out of my hair and what the reprecaussions may be?

I'm confused. Shouldn't the sand just shake out if your hair is completely dry?

It's not. I guess it depends on the texture of your hair? I'm assuming if you have silky straight hair, it'd be easier for the sand to just slip and fall out. But I think it's getting tangled up in my hair.

When my sons got sand in their hair I ended up having to fill the tub full of water and have them soak their heads. While they're heads were underwater I'd use my fingers to vigorously rub the sand out and it settled to the bottom of the tub. It worked pretty good.
