Question How do you get rid of the LHCF banner?

You know for when you are at work and you don't want people to look over and obviously see that you are on a hair forum.
Is there something in the settings you can change?
There was a discussion on it before but can't find it.

Blkrose: wrong...Dak had the perfect answer.

melissa-bee, if you use FF @ work, take Dak's advice and use adblock. Adblock doesn't only remove ads; it removes any image--like a banner.

Even if you use Chrome, just d/l adblock and put it to work! I surf LHCF @ work through Chrome, and the banner/ads never show because I use adblock.

ETA: I see that you use IE. Hopefully, there's an ad blocker software that's compatible. :yep:

ETA2: I found this for IE: http://www.adblockie.com/

Good luck!

If you're using firefox, you can have adblock remove it.

Really? It's not an ad though.
Anyway,my job uses internet explorer.

melissa-bee I guess no one knows..... (subtle bump)

Ah, thank you. The real test will begin on Monday

brooklyngal73 well I'm not allowed to download anything onto my computer at work. So that wasn't the "perfect" answer for me...

I've just realised this as well, lol.

You know in the corner of the original post there is something there that says "display modes" then when you click it says "Hybrid" and "threaded" mode. I think before that would change the layout of the forum. But when I change it, it gives and error message. See if it works on your computer...

Installing Ad block for Chrome isn't a "hard install" like with installing software that requires admin approval; you install it into your browser. Once it's installed in the browser, you'll see this icon >>
Ad+block+Extension.png
Click on that for all the options. Or for the LHCF bann
er, right click on the banner and the Ad blocker icon will show up, to remove that banner from view.[/SIZE]
