How do you do it Fall Wearers?

Bmorefly!!

thanks so much for the tips. I'm going to implement everything or some of each of what you all said.

I tried to check your fotki under weaves but you need a pssword.

can i get it please and thank you?:)

peace..SG

i think this would be a LOVELY idea for me! however, how should i take care of my hair underneath?

from the thread, i've gathered that i should wash, deep condition, maybe do a heavy protein, then braid, apply weave cap and then the falls...does that sound about right? and this should last about 2 weeks?

I usually wear my falls for special occasions now because I'm so active.

I workout almost every day, I need to wash my hair often. The best thing that is working for me, is my UPA clips. I'm getting two more of those things. I can not say enough good things about them!! You should see the new barettes Michelle has out now, Beautiful!! I have people stop me and ask about my pretty barrettes, and to tell me my hair is pretty. They have no idea! I can run jump do takewondo what ever and that thing does not move! I love it hehe the best secret in the world! I feel secure that my hair is not going to fly off my head while I'm running around doing whatever!

I wouldn't leave anything in my hair over night. Are you talking about sleeping in your fall when you talk about it lasting for 2 weeks?

I'm going to take some new pictures and post them with my differnt UPA looks...I have a yahoo photo album, I think I'll upload them there..

Sweetg, sorry I took so long to respond I just looked at the thread again. I sent you a PM. The weaves are in one album, and the falls are in the other album called wigs and hairpieces.

UPA = Undetectable Ponytail Attachment

here's a thread with my picutre with one on. I live in these things now. I have a wet and wavy one and some barettes on the way now.

I love those two!! I like Sensationnel's selections....how are those going for you, I love mine I got the human hair curlly long one on now!

I just bought my first fall, and I'm wearing the fall without any hair out around the perimeter, and a scarf to cover the line between real & fake. My hair is just too damaged right now for me to go out like that.

I'm going to wear it with a scarf or headband until I get it trimmed in a week or two. I'm also going to ask my mom to cornrow my hair every other week b/c right now, I'm just wearing a bun underneath or two drench braids down the back...

I'm going to walmart today to get some ntm, scurl, or something..havent' decided yet.

Also..OT...is $8.97 a good price for 90 tabs of MSM..don't remember the dosage, but it was 90 tablets to be taken 3 times a day..is that ok for just a 30 day supply?

I just washed my Sensationnel human hair curlly fall. I cool air dried it with the blow dryer to see what it would look like without roller setting it and found that it is cut in the best layers I've ever seen, and it has a body wave to it. So it has a natural bump to it before you put curls in it. Then I used my Caruso rollers, the jumbo ones and rolled it.

I took the rollers out, shaked that bad boy out in my hand and POW big ole pretty bouncy curls! Dag why can't I grow my hair out of my scalp like this??

It came out so good it's crazy, so soft and fluffy...it's raining here, I went out side and it didn't go flat or get fizzy or anything.

what a deal! I can't keep my hands off of it!

Has anyone tried removing the comb from the back of their fall.. It bothers me by the end of the work day. I'm going to try taking it off one and just bobby pinning it in the back. I see my head is particular about things being on it, pressing on my edges! LOL I guess it's so happy that its out of those braids and can breath that it rebells if it thinks it is going to be oppressed again

I'm wearing mine today with bobby pins and I can already tell that i'm going to like this...I'm loosing all the combs!! I wouldn't use them anyway, I'd just sit them on top of my hair by the middle of the day anyway because they hurt so much.

I am really liking this fall thing. This morning. I just put on my moisture, parted my hair down the middle and secured it into a low flat french roll. Then I put on my long fall and a small head band, it looks soooo natural and it took me 5 minutes to do it! My hair is has a ton of good moisture cream on it and at the end of the day its still moist. Good protective styling for me.

That's what I like about it too.:)

which falls r ur fav? what styles are good for a transitioning 3B?

I recommend going to a BSS or wig shop and trying on a few styles, that's the only way you will be able to tell what's a good match for you.

I have that one u just posted except it has more of a big hair look. I tried it with my head band and hair slicked back and a side bang and I really liked the look....too bad I got scissor happy and cut it too much now it looks a little off, im gonna get another curly one though I like that style. I may get a straight one for those days I rollerset my hair straight

Sensationnel has a pretty decent straight long one that's human hair. It doesn't have a lot of hair so it look natural.

Where did you buy the curly one? I have a big head and I'm 6 feet tall so it prolly won't look to overwhelming on me...

  , girl we could be sisters, I'm 5'10" with a sizeable melon mahself! :D

I'm wearing a fall, I got it the day I started my stretch, and God knows it's saved my life many a time! Mine is synthetic, cost $25, and is holding out really well. I've only had to rinse it a couple of times with a little conditioner, and as it dries the body waves come back all nice and shiny. My hair isn't long enough to make a nice bun yet, so this is my own protective styling. I mist leave-in on my hair, put it into one braid, and tuck it in, and then put on the fall.

I have a gazillion different stretchy headbands, and once I get my bangs to sit nice and sideswept-like (see siggy - I confess I had to 'bump' them on low heat), I'm good for the day. And the hair is protected under there really well. My newgrowth won't even let me do any other style these days, sheesh.

:yay: another big head! We are sisters! I love your head band! Where do you find decent looking ones:confused: the ones at Walmart look like rejects. I am going on a head band hunt this weekend. Where shall I go:confused:

We forgive you for using a little heat to get that bang to do right... I just tucked mine behind my ears today with a part down the middle.....its werkin. I'm looking for a curly jammy for when I get the WNG thing going real good. I can't even get a retouch until mid Jan so I'm getting my trick bag ready early!

Did you take the comb out of the back of your fall, that thang was killin me, I took it out and used bobby pins for the first time today and I am so comfortable!!!! I'm even going to workout in this thing...I know yuck right? but it's human hair so I can wash it no problems...Its just so comfortable that I don't feel like I have to RUUUUUN home and get this thing off my head! LOLOLOL  You got sumthin for that WNG !!! :spank:

I kept the comb in the back, mainly because the back of my hair is my 4z region, so you could stick the devil's prongs in there and I still wouldn't feel a thing!

For the headbands, where else but the PJ's crackhouse - the BSS! They have a lot of different styles and widths in there, I got this really nice Burberry (sp) patterned one for $1. The stretchies usually come in packs of 3 for $1.50 in basic colors, and then you can put the patterned ones over them for style, as long as they're wide enough to cover completely.

Newbie moment here - what's WNG? Feel free to laugh at me. :look:

I got it from a local bss.
paynesbeautysupply-salon_1921_26662511
this is the one I got. I thought it was going to be shorter but since I am only 4'10 it comes to a little above BSL

paynesbeautysupply-salon_1921_77226290

I also have this one, when I wear it it looks basically the same as my hair in my avatar (that was a sew in but I used the fall to keep the same style in between sew-ins)

I just found THE PERFECT fall!! At the BSS it has a little lace font thingy in the front and it has the perfect curly wavy thing going on and I love the way the edge is done, I won't need a head band with this one.... I haven't bought it yet because I left my wallet on the desk here at work!

I bought a beautiful wig this weekend but I think I'm going to sell it because my head doesn't like anything on its edges....I just found that out this weekend. I bought the wig which I love, put it on with a stocking cap while in the house and I thought my forhead was going to catch on fire! I just can't do it....I'm very tender headed. I wish I would have known that before I bought it. Of course I can't return it. :perplexed But this new fall is perfect

This one must touch your butt, it's so long! I love it though.
