HOW do you create a TEXTURIZED LOOK on 4A/B hair WITHOUT CHEMICALS???

I really liked the look of my hair when I had a texturizer; however, once I got a retouch my healthy hair days were over. My hair is almost back to healthy now but I miss the texturized curly look. Does anyone know how this can be created on 4a/b hair without using chemicals ... just using regular products???

If you have a curl pattern you should be able to shingle with some type of gel/pudding to get it to look that way. If not, a braid out or twist out should work.

Im not getting the question- you are 4a/b and want it to look straight?:nono:
Or are you looking for curl definition?:yep:
www.missjessies.com has shingling instructions. You can also do this with Fantasia IC or look on the recipe boards for the curly pudding recipe

Hmmm...shingling. I went to the site and checked it out. It sounds like I will have fun experimenting with this. I will see if I can figure out a low maintenance way to get my hair like that.

Thank you ladies.

If anyone else knows of any other products that could help and/or advice, please let us know.

I'm just posting so I can subscribe to this thread. This is good info! I was wondering what "shingling" was. Thanks.

One member once told me that she used curling creams (Miss Jessies) and Carefree Curl spray. Make sure your hair is sopping wet.
