How do you comb your hair?

I sometimes think the reason my hair is shorter in the middle is because I am not combing it correctly. How do you comb your hair, do you part it, comb it to the side? Is it ok to comb underneath. I want to be gentle back there since it is starting to grow back, but have a hard time trying to reach all the hairs correctly.

I notice I have to make an effort to ensure I am getting enough product back there as well!

On wash day, to comb conditioner through or to detangle under the shower, I comb gently in sections, starting from the ends and working my way up to the scalp.

I use a Jilbere shower comb and if its wet, I also start from the bottom up. If it's dry, I rarely comb it, but when I do, I prefer to put a lil' oil on my hair first and then comb it with the Jilbere comb. I use my "lanky" fingers most of the time so I have to keep my nails snagfree.

I comb my hair in sections and start at the ends, working my way up.
This is especially critical when I'm in need of a touchup.
